STORY EXCERPT

“I wondered if you might be able to tell me where the entrance to the basement might be?”

Thaddeus’s pensive look made Jake wonder if he wanted to keep him out, adding to the mystery of the underground lair. “Well, the door in the corner of the kitchen opens up to the servants’ staircase. There you will also find the entrance to the basement.”

“Thanks,” Jake said and turned to head toward the door. He felt a steely hand wrap around his arm, and he stopped to look at Thaddeus. His grip is stronger than I suspected.

“You must be very careful down there. Mr. Brandson hadn’t ventured down there in many years, and neither have I.”

“Speaking as a carpenter, maybe it’s time to do a little inspection of the area.” Thaddeus opened his mouth, but Jake cut him off before he could say anything. “Don’t worry, I’ll be fine.”

Thaddeus seemed reluctant to remove his hand, but finally did. Jake headed toward the stairs and ventured forth into the basement. With the sunlight from the kitchen guiding his way, he reached the bottom of the stairs and noticed a light switch on the wall. He turned it on, and the dim darkness surrounding him pulsed on and off with light for a moment until finally the flickering bulbs stayed on.

Jake took in the dismal and dusty surroundings. For such a gorgeous mansion, it hid a basement that seemed reminiscent of an old sixteenth-century dungeon. Between the dirt floors, the numerous cracks in the stone foundation, and the sheets of spiderwebs coating the walls, Jake knew Thaddeus had been right. No one had been down here in years.

The space seemed to match the full length and width of the house, so he knew he’d be exploring down here for a while. He walked across an open area until he came to a narrow hallway. A door stood on his left, and he opened it. Inside the room sat an older furnace. He pulled out the filter and looked in disgust at how dirty it appeared. I’m calling a service company to have a look at this. I think it’s long overdue. Shaking his head, he left the room and continued down the hall.

He found a storage room for canned goods and preserves and wondered how old the food could be. The hallway expanded into a different open area housing old, broken furniture. The carpenter inside of him immediately saw ways to repair the wooden pieces and made a mental note to start going through the antiques when he’d finished cleaning and fixing up the house.

Finally coming to the end wall of the basement, he looked around and found some oak, French doors leaning against a side wall. He marvelled at the craftsmanship and slid the first one forward to get a closer look. Suddenly, he felt a chill trickle down his spine and a soft gust of cold air blow on his face from the wall. He looked around for a vent but couldn’t see anything.

With his curiosity piqued, he moved a few of the doors gingerly out of his way to get closer to the wall and find the source of the draft. He located the soft gust of air coming from a crack above a small stone jutting slightly out from the wall. Jake had an overwhelming urge to not only touch the rock, but push on it. Following his body’s demands, he pressed on the rock. The wall before him began to tremor, and the stones suddenly became a doorway, swinging inward.

How exciting! I’ve found a hidden room. Jake’s heart raced with anticipation over what could be found inside. The room was pitch black, and even the light from the basement didn’t seem to be enough to penetrate through the darkness. I think I need a light. He ran the length of the basement, made his way up the stairs, and back to the kitchen. Breathing heavy from his sprint, he started searching the drawers and cupboards for a flashlight. He finally found one in the pantry and raced back downstairs to the secret room.

He turned the flashlight on and entered the chamber. Inside, he found what appeared to be a large box covered by a dusty, white sheet. He pulled the covering off and jumped at his discovery. He stood before something he’d never expected to find in this old mansion, a coffin.

Jake didn’t frighten easily, but something about this house started to unnerve him. One side of him wanted to run, close up the opening, and never think of his find again, while his adventurous side wanted to delve into this mystery head-on. He decided to forge ahead and look inside. With great trepidation, he walked up to the coffin and placed his hands on the edge of the lid. Well, Jake, you can’t stop now.

Preparing himself to see all types of horror, he opened the lid, in one quick lift, pointed his flashlight in the casket, and peered inside. Much to his relief, and slight disappointment, the coffin lay empty. Only the red satin material and matching pillow lined the box. Why would this be down here? The missing contents added more mystery to Jake’s discovery.

ADULT EXCERPT

Faint whispers entered his dreams again, causing Jake to stir awake. He couldn’t quite make out what they were saying, but when he opened his eyes, Dominic stood naked before him again, as he had the night before. The ray of moonlight coming from the window cast a glow around his body, making him appear ethereal and untouchable. His full erection felt instantaneous while his gaze took in the man before him. I think I’m going to love sleeping here if I’m going to have erotic dreams of Dominic every night.

“You came back to me.” Jake’s excitement swirled around his words. He sat up, threw the blankets off his body, and jumped out of bed, positioning himself before the man of his dreams.

“I couldn’t stay away. You have intrigued me, and I can’t seem to release you from my mind. It appears you have vexed me.”

“I’ve vexed you? I think it’s the other way around. I can’t stop thinking about you. I know you’re not real, and you died centuries ago, but I’m glad I can share these dreams with you.”

Dominic took a bold step forward, bridging the gap between them. The tip of his erection brushed against the underside of Jake’s swollen head. Jake gasped at Dominic’s accidental touch. He could feel his ball sac tightening and his cock growing even thicker. His heart raced, and he longed to reach out and enfold Dominic in his arms.

Making the first move, Dominic reached out and pulled him into his embrace. Jake noticed how cold his pale skin felt next to his, but didn’t care. “I don’t have much time. I want to be with you for as long as I can.”

“Hell, this is my dream, and what I say goes. You’re staying put.” Jake watched Dominic smile. His face appeared as perfect as it did in the portrait and his skin smooth in the dim light. He couldn’t help himself as he reached up and stroked his cheek. Jake marveled at the velvety softness under his fingertips and longed to touch Dominic all over.

Dominic had a slighter frame compared to Jake’s thick, muscular body, but their heights matched equally at six feet two inches. Leaning forward, Jake took over and crushed his lips against Dominic. He reveled in the taste of his dream man and shuddered as their cocks pressed against each other. Sliding his hold down Dominic’s back, he stopped at his tight ass and squeezed his firm cheeks, pushing their bodies closer together.

With a quickness and strength Jake didn’t suspect, Dominic pulled away and pushed him down onto the bed. His feet remained on the floor, but his body had been flattened to the bed. Dominic knelt before Jake, spread his legs a little wider, and positioned himself between his thighs. Jake’s anticipation for what would come next excited him to monumental proportions. He sat up making sure he didn’t miss a thing. God, this seems too real to be a dream.

As if reading his thoughts, Dominic gazed deep into his eyes and said, “This is not a dream. This is our reality.” He lowered his head and ran his tongue along Jake’s bulbous head.

Jake watched in sensual awe as a drop of pre-cum trailed from the tip of his cock to Dominic’s tongue. The image would forever be burned into his thoughts. Breathtaking.

Dominic smiled up at Jake, rendering him speechless. He opened his mouth and took Jake’s full cock deep into his throat. Jake moaned and ran his fingers through his hair. Dominic began pumping his mouth up and down on his thick rod while his tongue swirled in circles on the underside of his shaft.

Jake’s fingers tightened in Dominic’s dark hair, trying to set a faster pace. Dominic complied as he seemed to allow Jake to take over. Unable to keep his eyes off the vision before him, Jake’s body tensed, his moans grew louder, and he fell over the edge into a chasm of blissful agony. His cum spewed into Dominic’s mouth, and Jake could feel him swallow every drop of his release. Mercy.

Dominic slid Jake’s cock from his mouth and crawled on top of him, kissing him passionately, while Jake tried to catch his breath. Dominic pulled back, stroked Jake’s cheek, and said, “I don’t have much time left with you tonight. Please, come to the cemetery tomorrow night and release me from my prison. They are trying to stop you, so be careful and trust no one. I’ll be waiting for you.” He kissed Jake again, sliding his tongue into Jake’s mouth. Jake could taste the residuals of his cum from Dominic and desired to please him the same fashion. Dominic pulled away from Jake’s kiss and then his body to stand up before Jake. “I must leave now, but before I go, please tell me your name.”

“It’s Jake.” He answered not understanding why Dominic had to leave him again. “Please don’t go. What can I do to make you stay?” The last thing Jake wanted was for him to leave. He desired to continue their lovemaking, even if only in a fantasy.

“Well, Jake, there’s only one thing that could make me stay, and I don’t have the heart to ask you for it.”

Jake stood up wanting to wrap his arms around Dominic to keep him from leaving. Instead, he held himself back and said, “I’ll do anything. Name it.” Jake had never begged anyone in his life, but the thought of losing Dominic again sent a wave of sadness coursing through him.

Dominic paused and then took Jake’s hands in his. He kissed his fingers tenderly and then glanced into Jake’s eyes. “I need your blood.”
