[Ménage Amour: Erotic Fantasy Ménage a Quatre Romance, M/F/M/M, Shape-shifter]

After being abducted, Lexi was unable to escape and about to be murdered. Growls. Bodies flying. The next thing she knows, she’s staring into the eyes of some sexy wolf she met at the club.

Her old friend, Sierra, helped save her, along with three very sexy and intimidating Alpha males. Although they are triplets, Lexi soon finds out that they are just as powerful individually as they are together. But she’s never really belonged, and all she can give them is danger and pain. Paul, Saber and Andre have found their mate, and they’re ready to claim her body and soul. The one problem, Lexi trusts no one. She’s lived on the streets, survived on her own, and she’s not about to be pampered. They know she’s in danger and that she’s safest with them.

It’s going to take some sneaky, dominant sexual tactics to convince Lexi she’s where she belongs.

Note: There is no sexual relationship or touching for titillation between or among siblings.

Another great series.

Lexi has been on her own for as long as she can remember and on the run for the last few years. Leaving her best friend behind without a ‘good bye’ was the hardest thing she had ever done but in order to protect Sierra it was necessary.

My second time through Were She Belongs wasn’t nearly as exciting as my first time through it, even so, I was no were near disappointed in the story as a whole. There were a few things that drove me nut and I will get to those shortly. First I want to talk about what I really liked about this story. I really like the story line and how you also got to touch base with the bad guys from time to time to see the plotting. I really liked the characters, especially Sierra and Lexi and I can just imagine how much they will stir the pot with their mates. I think my favorite part is how Lexi finds out she has family and their reactions when they find out.

Lexi’s character had some interesting contradictions given how she was raised. She grew up a street kid and for all intents and purposes she was street smart and trusted no one, and for valid reasons. It is for those reasons a lone I expected her to fight harder against her mates and really thought she would at least try to run but she didn’t. This is where we get into what I don’t like about this story, the lack of consistency and continuity in places crated some comprehension issue at times especially when the time line seemed out of whack and characters were out of place. For example, when Feldman called Valco Lexi’s mate when he isn’t, he is Sierra’s mate. This one drives me absolutely crazy how can Andre’s ball be slapping Lexi’s ass when she is bent over the arm of the couch (on her stomach), seems to me his ball would be hitting somewhere in the vicinity of her clit.

The inconsistencies were the biggest editing issue in the book when the tally was completed on the number of edits I found but thankfully the edits only added up to enough to cost the author to lose only one star from the rating I intend to give this story. But as I sit here and ponder what my decision on this should be I am torn because I have read this book more than once and should for that very reason give this book a four-star rating because the edits omit a five-star rating but I am also considering a three-star rating because I am almost feeling like I should give it a four-star rating minus the star for the edits. Which brings me around to thinking maybe I should change my rating criteria by creating a separate rating system for the editing that is separate from my love it or hate it ratings.

5 TEA CUPS: "All I can say is where are my werewolves? Three would be nice. Lexi was used to being on her own. She never had anyone, and she didn't want anyone. The danger that followed her made her into a loner. She is a dynamic woman who took what life offered her and made the most of it, living like that was lonely but there was no way around it. Or was there? Just when she thought she was in a comfort zone, she was working one night when she saw a college friend coming in. It had been years since she saw Sierra, her best friend, the friend that she lost touch with because of the danger in her life. She and Sierra reunited, Sierra was there to celebrate her mating ceremony with Valco but it wasn't Valco that caught her attention it was his brother, Paul, not knowing they were triplet alpha males. Paul knew the minute he laid eyes on Lexi that she was his mate and he talked through his mind with his brothers who also sensed her and knew that she was the one. She was strong, gorgeous and courageous. Her courage is what drew them together. Three alpha male werewolves to tame one woman, a human no less. She has spunk, Lexi wasn't afraid to stand up to them and she knew that to submit to these three gorgeous males and mate with them would be the biggest hurdle she ever had to face. Should she trust herself to allow these men to fill a void in her life from not having a family? She never accepted pity from anyone. Coming together for her protection alone, they were men to be reckoned with, but together they are unstoppable. The alpha males took the responsibility seriously. Not allowing Lexi time to think and run, they mated her to protect her. What they didn't realize was she was their protection also. This story has you wanting more and more. It holds your attention from the very beginning and leaves you wanting to know the next part of the story. To say more would ruin the ending but I recommend this book to all those who love a true love story and have always wanted to be treasured and protected from the outside world. It takes you to the next level with scorching love scenes and a tremendous amount of adventure. Loved, loved, loved this story! The heat index is over the heat and into the fire." -- Wendy, Happily Ever After Reviews

5 RAVENS: "To begin at the very beginning, Were She Belongs does not contain a misspelled word; the word ‘were’ is used in reference to a certain type of paranormal creature rather than as an adverb. This book is a wonderful combination of paranormal romance, fairy tale, and adventure/mystery. I may have missed a genre or two in my description, but Dixie Lynn Dwyer missed nothing in the writing of this book. Simply stated, Were She Belongs is a very enjoyable book. Other than having one girlfriend in college, Lexi has always been alone. Homeless for many years, she has struggled from early childhood to survive on her own and even as strange and disturbing events unfold in her life, she still manages to get an education and jobs to keep her head above water. Lexi is one tough cookie, but when those strange events from the past recur and endanger her friend, she disappears and lives under the radar. Given the opportunity for a great job, she works hard but is ready to bolt again at the first hint of trouble. One evening she runs into her girlfriend from college as well as an incredibly sexy man who happens to be a werewolf. He scents that Lexi is his mate as well as mate to his triplet brothers. Lexi would rather walk away than lead trouble to her friend or to the brothers’ doorstep, but their plan is to hold onto Lexi forever. I don’t reread a large number of books, but I have already reread this one. The triplets have more about them than just being alpha and sexy, the relationship between Lexi and Sierra is heartwarming and the mystery about why Lexi was abandoned and who she might really be is quite interesting. It also doesn’t hurt that there are many pages of beautifully written sex scenes. I love that while this book has an HEA ending it also leaves the door open for further adventures. This is my first Lynn Dwyer book and she is now on my list of authors to watch. Get this book. It is a keeper." -- Lea, Black Raven Reviews

4.5 CHERRIES: "When your life is threatened by an unknown evil you do what you have to do to protect the ones you love. This is the attitude fiercely independent Lexi adopted years before when she was attacked and followed by some pretty scary and determined men. To protect her only friend she leaves town and lays low until she meets and mates triplet were shifters Paul, Saber and Andre of the Sinclair pack. How they meet and when they mate is tension filled, dripping in lust and smothered with sexy goodness…yeah, it’s that good! This was my first time to read a book by Ms. Dwyer but it certainly won’t be my last. There are so many incredible elements to this novel I actually read it twice before writing my review. The layers of the plot are numerous, necessary and flow very well. I’ve read books before where the plot layers are not presented in an easy to comprehend order and that causes too many stumbles in the story. If I have to re-read to make the order of events make sense then I lose interest in the book as a whole. This was not the case with Were She Belongs. Like the plot the characters were well developed and relatable. Lexi’s motivation to be a loner is easy to understand and I hurt for her missed childhood and family. Thanks to the Alpha mates that claim her, she gains a very powerful if not slightly overwhelming new family. Ms. Dwyer did an excellent job of creating three brothers who, even though they are triplets, are distinct in personality: Paul the charming playboy, Andre the sensitive giver, and last but certainly never least Saber the brooding protector. I think you’ll fall in love with all of them, just as I did. There are some great secondary characters introduced throughout the story that will hopefully inspire Ms. Dwyer to continue this exciting story into a second or possibly even a third book. I know I’m keeping my fingers crossed and my eyes peeled for the next sexy were adventure." -- Honeysuckle, Whipped Cream Reviews

"Lexi has always been alone and had to make it through life as best she could. She can never remember having a family or belonging to anyone. Then, in college, Lexi discovered that someone wanted her enough to kidnap her and harm others. Ever since then she has been on the run, and found jobs that would break certain rules for her. Being the head of security for a nightclub is the best job she’s had and she loves it, but that all may change now that her boss and newly re-found best friend are asking questions. Not to mention that sexy hunk she just met tonight for the first time. Paul, Andre, and Saber are triplets and alpha wolves of their pack. They have hunted for a long time to find their mate, and she might have just dropped into their hands. However, they have her only after saving her from a kidnapping attempt. All three are finding out just how alone their mate has been and know that their work will be cut out for them to convince Lexi that she is their mate and to trust and love them. Overpowering they might be to others, they only want to love and protect Lexi. If she will let them. Lexi is more than overwhelmed by not only the triplets who keep saying she is their mate but also with the knowledge that once again she is putting people she loves in danger. Running is all she has ever known, but Saber, Paul, and Andre are putting up a strong defense against her instincts. While still trying to work out the mating thing, Lexi learns unexpectedly about her background and discovers that she really does have family and a place to belong. Lexi discovers true happiness for the first time just as the danger against her threatens to tear it from her forever. Lexi wants what she has found, but will she have the strength to trust her alphas to protect her and take away the danger once and for all? How do you stop running when it’s all you have ever known? Lexi finds the answer in Were She Belongs. My heart went out to Lexi as I read about her past and all that she has endured. I could understand what the boys were going through, but wanted to tell them to slow down and stop overwhelming her several times. I just knew that somehow they would find the middle ground, but how they did it had me smiling. The danger that confronted Lexi and her alphas was chilling when I found out just how cold blooded it was. Seeing the good guys win and Lexi discover what love meant made me close the book with a smile. Were She Belongs is a tale of strength, suspense, and erotic love that will remind you just how nice belonging is." -- Jo, Joyfully Reviewed

ADULT EXCERPT

“Bedroom, now!” Saber ordered in a deep, demonstrative voice. He looked so demanding and forceful, and as he pulled his shirt up and over his head she saw his tattoos. He had the body of a warrior, made for fighting and defending, all the way down his perfectly cut abs to the small patch of dark hair that disappeared below the waist of his camouflaged cargo pants. He was so damn sexy she felt her body’s reaction, and so did Paul as slurping, sucking noises echoed in the air.

Andre lifted her from behind, causing Paul’s mouth to leave her momentarily until his fingers took its place engaging her cunt. She wrapped her legs around his waist as he continued the in-and-out motion with his fingers harder and faster.

“You’re ours, Lexi, all ours,” he growled before licking her skin.

Andre held her back against his chest as they walked in unison toward the bedroom.

What a slut she must have looked like. Sprawled out in midair between three of the most charismatic, controlling men she ever had the pleasure to be touched by. They were hot. There was no denying what her body, mind, and soul wanted. This was it. She was about to lose her virginity and had no idea what she would be giving in to or gaining.

Lexi continued to pant with need until the feel of their hands all over her and the anticipation of what was to come overtook her body. She screamed her release as Andre muffled her cry with his mouth. They turned her around and placed her on the bed spread-eagled. Andre lay on her left, holding her arm up above her head with one hand while the other caressed her inner thigh.

She twisted and tried to turn. The cool air touched her lips, and she tried to pull her legs closed. No one had ever seen down there, and here she was shoving it in their faces. It was too much. She felt so much, her body burned for more. Paul lay on her right, holding her arm above her head. She was left at their will and mercy, open for them to do as they wished and desired.

Her head rolled side to side.

“That’s it, little one. This is what you waited for. You weren’t meant for anyone but us, our little virgin,” Saber whispered, and when she focused on his voice, she saw him standing at the edge of the bed between her legs and completely naked.

“Oh my God!” she choked out between heated breaths. He was huge. Beyond huge, he was way bigger than anything she imagined.

“I know you’re scared, Lexi, and we’re hung way bigger than average, but I guarantee you’re gonna love it. Now just relax, and let us pleasure you,” Paul whispered with that cocky little arrogant grin of his. But he wasn’t lying. Saber was the whole package from head to toe just like she was certain his brothers were. Any woman in her right mind would be throwing herself into this situation or fantasizing about it happening to them. Paul’s words repeated in her head.

Hung way bigger than average? What was that supposed to mean? They all had garden hoses for dicks? Above average? Average? What did she know?

The panic set in until Saber moved closer and Paul pulled his fingers from her. She watched as he sucked the juices off each digit and moaned. Andre took that moment to pinch her nipple and lick the slight pleasure-pain away.

Saber bent down before the bed, his face mere inches from her mound, and inhaled, closing his eyes. When he opened them to look at her, they were green and yellow.

He licked her clit and twirled his tongue around her lips before plunging into her. His tongue felt long and thick. Before she could even think about whether it was human or his wolf, the sensations took over.

He growled, and she felt his hot, heavy breath, the vibrations were too much and she tried to move. She moaned and inadvertently lifted her pelvis toward his mouth. Andre and Paul chuckled between licks and sucks.

“I can’t hold back. My wolf needs inside you.”

He growled and lifted his face from her. She felt disappointment, but then the tip of his cock tapped against her vagina.

“He wants in, Lexi. Touch him. Show him where you want it to go,” Paul grunted as his hands continued to caress her inner thighs.

She could see how badly Saber was holding back. The veins looked more defined by his eyes and throat and his teeth were clenched. She wanted him to take her virginity. She wanted all three of them.

With a shaky hand, she reached for his long shaft, surprised at how smooth and solid it felt. It was thick and pulsating with her touch. She watched mesmerized as precum lingered, then dripped from the mushroom top.

“Please, baby, tell me you want it.”

“Yes, Saber. Now.”

Saber pushed slowly inside her, feeling the vaginal walls grip his flesh. He was only inches in, yet he felt the need to come surge through him. He begged for full penetration, urging his beast to wait to claim her fully.

“She’s so fucking tight. I can’t move,” he ground out through clenched teeth before grabbing her hips and preparing to go deep.

Lexi moaned as Paul and Andre tweaked her nipples, sucked on her neck, and eased her tension. Andre kissed her, swallowing her moans. Paul reached down and played with her pussy lips, sending Lexi over the edge and Saber deep into her.

She screamed her release, and the moisture was enough lubricant to get Saber fully inside of her. He moaned with satisfaction as he grabbed her hips and plunged in and out. At first he moved slowly. It was so slow and torturous she begged him for more. She pushed her hips toward him, and he got the message.

“You okay, baby? You want more?” he asked.

Andre released her lips as she panted and barely got the word “yes” out of her mouth.
