"HEART-HUG" THAT is how I feel right now after reading DIVINE CHARITY by the ***insert every complimentary phrase that you can think of*** Heather Rainier. I truly mean that...ok, I'll start...'brilliant, talented, gifted, mastermind, creative, passionate, witty'...you get the picture? I'm sure I would run out of space before I would run out of words. Ms. Rainier's amazing abilities as an author stand out in how she creates her characters and the world they live in so that the reader feels like they are truly "morphed" into her books. I have read ALL of Ms. Rainier's Divine Creek Ranch Series, and when it looked like that Charity was going to get her own book, I was beyond ecstatic! After being introduced to her in the very first book, Divine Grace, as Gracie's sister, I fell in love with her and felt a kindred spirit. Now...almost all of Ms. Rainier's books are ménage, and none so far had involved a couple that was already married, so I was doubly excited for Charity's book because Charity had been married over 20 years, and this was a whole new ballgame compared to Ms. Rainier's "normal" books. Excitement and impatience was all I felt while waiting for DIVINE CHARITY to release...and you know why? I KNEW that Heather would deliver an amazing book that would knock everyone's socks off! AND, guess what? SHE ABSOLUTELY DID...I'm sure if you'll look around there are thousands of people without socks! ;) It took one book to make a lifelong fan of Heather Rainier out of me, (DIVINE GRACE)and then she was on autobuy! The emotions that pour from the pages of ALL of the Divine Creek Ranch books are mind boggling. The savvy inventiveness and brilliance that Ms. Rainier used to transport Charity from a two person marriage to a four person ménage where all are bound to each other is beyond magnificent. Of course, DIVINE CHARITY has a happily ever after...THAT is a HEATHER RAINIER trademark! "HEART-HUG" - that's how I started this review...I'm not sure it's even a word, but it's exactly how I feel. My heart feels like it's been hugged. It's an awesome feeling. Don't you want that feeling?

Outstanding Book (series), I was wondering how Heather was going to add a ménage to Charity and Justin’s relationship without destroying the love that the two have had for each other for 22 years. But Heather did it with grace, love, dignity and sensitivity. Leah’s heartbreak is something hard to deal with without feeling her pain. Heather did an excellent job with Leah’s scenes. I love how she incorporated Presley Ann’s character in this book different from before, I’m hoping soon she’ll have her own book. She also including several new characters that I’m looking forward to reading more about in future books. I love Heather’s books because it feels like she puts a lot of heart into her books. She has great story lines, fantastic characters, and outstanding love scenes. I hope she never gets tired of writing, she’s an outstanding author and if you ever what to read a fantastic series, you need to Heather Rainier’s Divine Creek Ranch series. She will WOW you!!

Wow I loved this book! Great character names! It was emotional but also you could feel the love the h and her husband had for each other all through their marriage! I liked the drama and was glad their relationship developed so easily! It would have been a easy out for the author to stir up drama that way with the kids but it would not have fit with what we already know of the family! Divine feels like such a family and it is great to see other characters showing up and meeting new ones!

Charity fell in love with the three cousins when she was really young. When Justin keeps her for himself, a part of her dies but knows he will be her everything. Justin refused to share Charity with his cousins so much that they came to blows. Years later, Justin knows what he did was wrong and can tell what Charity needs to be complete. All I have to say is that Justin the sweetest most sexy man I have ever read. OMG so selfless and giving! Val and Ransome betrayed by their cousin make a life of their own. When they retire, Justin decides he was too selfish back then and invites them into his marriage. Once they are altogether fireworks fly and angels sing! I love that during this book we visit Grace and her men, we meet Jessica, we cry with Leah, and even watch Presley Ann grow before our eyes. We learn more about of Divine's Next Generation: Beau, Noah, Justine, I can't wait to see what they do. Heather Rainier is a brilliant writer. She can suck you in and make you care about a whole town. I cannot wait for our next visit to Divine Creek Ranch.

Thank you Heather Rainier, what an amazing and vivid story you weave. I laughed, I cried, I held my breath and I just simply loved every moment of Charity, Justin,Ransome and Val's story! What a ride! Highly recommended to all, a must read and if you haven't started from book 1 with Divine Grace what are you waiting for?

This book was a great addition to the series. The heroes in this book have to be some of my favorite characters of the series. It was wonderful that the were able to have a heroine that matches their personalities so well. :)

There are some books I pick up and devour, others I savor and spread out over as much time as I can muster. This is in the latter category. I took my time reading this delicious book, nibble by yummy nibble! It was tough to put down, but I did not want it to end, so I dragged it out as long as possible. Ms Rainier always writes a thorough book, I have often said her stories are marathons and not sprints. This is no exception. Hank has long been a character I was interested in getting a HEA, he has been seeming lonely lately. I thought he would be one of the MF pairings in the series, big surprise when he had a dishy best friend pop up in town. Travis is a nice addition to Divine, I loved his playfulness. This pair is a smexy cop sandwich I would not mind getting in the middle of any day of the week!! Veronica, or Nika as she prefers, starts off shy and unsure. It was a joy to see her flourish in this environment. She has a huge well of hidden sass that comes to the forefront when she gets comfortable with her men!! I think she is now my favorite heroine in the series. I was most drawn to her playful spirit with a hint of rebelliousness. Give her time and she will be a force to be reckoned with!!! The steam is uber hot!! Hello, Doms!! Yup, we are playing with some light BDSM. I love me a good spanking and the bondage and role play take it to a new level. I really enjoyed that is wasn't all protocols and strict rules. While I am intrigued by the genre, I am not into hardcore or slave/master stuff. Thank goodness things did not go there! We still get a feel for the lifestyle and the play is hot!! That last scene sent me straight to the cold shower!! While things get steamy pretty quick into their relationship, it felt natural. They had plenty of talk and build to the bedroom action. It just felt right and the feelings came through as genuine. This book reminded me why I fell in love with this series in the first place. The plot has a lot going on, but never seemed overcrowded. Everything came at a steady pace. I enjoyed most of the resolutions, I might not have been so kind to Tabitha. Ms. Rainier went more for the reason behind the bullying than completely villainizing the bullies, well most of them. It is a much higher road than many would take. There are some real highlights in this book. I loved the playfulness and acceptance of the characters. There are a few laugh out loud moments Tabby Cat, the sheep, duct tape, mommy ate the baby, Woobie-Doms and a hilarious Drag Wheelchair race for charity. And those are only a few of the pink highlights on my kindle notes!! (pink is the color I use for favorite parts) I was also delighted with the Grandma Kate visit! She is a feisty gal who reminds me of my own Gram. I love her spirit and all that she adds to the book. Hope she is able to make another visit! The book is a mixed narrative that switches from the main characters POVs from section to section. There is also a bonus of getting Tabitha's POV a few times. It puts her in a whole new light. I do not think her resolution would been as believable without those insights into her life. While I really enjoyed the read, I miss the old days when stories overlapped. It gave me more of a sense of things to come. It was always one of the things I loved and looked forward to in the earlier books in the series. It was always fun popping back to a scene from a previous book and seeing it from a whole other set of characters perspective. It added depth to the whole experience. I can not wait to see what is going to happen next in the series! So many lovely single ladies introduced in the last three books. I hope bookstore owner Violet and Leah are up soon! And maybe even poor Presley Ann deserves a HEA, she isn't bad just spoiled and selfish.

Let's start this off with my statement, "I like this series, really like it", I just am wavering on the latest books. We met the nears in Tiny Dancer, and they totally distracted me from the main characters. Perhaps, I built them up too much in my mind. There were several high points in the book and some not so great things. It is still a good read, it managed to get me very emotional a couple times. Just not the awesomeness I expect in this series. I adore Cody, Heath and Spencer, they just seemed meeker than when they were first introduced. Cody lives up to the bossy bear, I would have liked a touch more Dom from him. Spencer is the strong silent bear, I can never resist them! Heath is the playful one, although he ended up being the spanker. They are a lethal combo, they just felt watered down a touch. Sure that they were delicious at the beginning, so very dominant and overpowering, I wanted that intensity to stick around. I loved them at the Twisted Bull, they made a strong showing in the end too. Maizy is very sweet, she has a touch of spunk in her, wish we had seen more of that backbone. She caved too easy in a few situations. I understand she is a teacher and subject to the school board, a seriously terrible place to be. She has moments of sass and sensuality, I would have loved to see more of her in that light. I really prefer the gals with spunk, even though I know we need variety in our heroines. She fits in very well with all the other Divine ladies. The side story here is more of Tabitha Lester, eh, I am kind of getting tired of her. Here we are at book 16 in the series, by now there are more Divas than Frozen Chosen. I am really ready for them to lay the smack down on this prude. In Divine Phoenix she seemed more pathetic and weak, how has she become this powerhouse? I feel like we need more or a conflict than this. While I am on the subject, I am experiencing deja vu in some of the books. I feel like every book we have a talk about how menages work, and how the guys won't be jealous of each other. I feel like that area is well covered by now. Now for the really good stuff!!! There is loads of steam in this book! Sure it happens quick, almost too quick, but I am giving in to the love/lust at first sight philosophy. Oh boy, if I could have a big ole hot shower scene like that!! Wow, it is all about the lady!! Yes please, sign me up and lather away!! This book seems to feature more smexy scenes than other books and a greater amount of one on one time with the heroes. Not a complaint, just an observation. While I am not into foot play, there is a hot scene that will give any foot fetishist shivers!! I do love me some spanking, and there is a yummy naughty scene with that to get ya hot and bothered. Such a steamy read you might just want to leave your panties off, it will save you laundry time! There are a couple very emotional times in the book, sobbing occurred and tissues were deployed. Very heartbreaking! Ms Rainier knows how to shred my heart and then put it back together again by the end of the book. Usually the books cover a longer time span with time jumps thrown in, this was skipped, everything pretty much happened in a month. I like the jumps because they made the relationships seem more real, giving emotions more time to manifest. I enjoyed the whole thing, it just lacked a bit of the umph from earlier books. I miss the days when stories were a touch more mixed together and overlapping. I love seeing all the supporting characters, it is something you come to depend on in the Divine series. Everybody continues to grow and the relationships get stronger with each book. We met a few new ladies this book with fellow teacher Jan, hairstylist Danielle, rose lover Lola, all ripe for HEA stories, menage of otherwise! I am also looking at past ladies with mentions like Leah, who has been single far to long, I am sure her sister would cause her trouble. I am also curious about Madeleine, she might need a little romancing too! I would also love to see a certain boudoir photographer resurface and find some good lovin!! See, I am totally addicted! I am very excited for the next book, going to get a HEA for smexy sheriff Hank!! Oh and the yummy scenes I read with BDSM, wickedly delicious! I have faith this will be a truly scrumptious read!

Heather did it again. Another amazing book for the Divine Creek Series. Divine Grace will always be my favorite because it started the series but Awakening Veronica is a very close 2nd. Every-time I read Heather's book I feel like I am right there whit them. I laughed and Cried with Veronica. I could relate to Veronica. I feel in love with Hank in Divine Grace and am so glad that Hank and Travis got there HEA. I would totally recommend it for anyone who loves a hot romance and wonderful heros, who love and protect their Women!

I ALWAYS STOOD OUT AND WAS MADE FUN OF BY MANY GIRLS I PLAYED SPORTS WITH UNTIL I FOUND THE HIGHER LEVEL PLAYING TEAMS. I love the entire series and Heather has yet to disappoint with any of the stories in this saga, but this one stood out for me on so many levels. As a long time target of bullying, both by family, schoolmates, workmates and on the internet I deeply felt Veronica's plight. I feel the way Heather handles the relationship between Hank, Travis and Veronica was handled perfectly and with a delicate while dominating hand. Hank has long taken the protection of the women of Divine deeply personally while denying his own needs and his true self. Veronica brought out every alpha/protector instinct of his times 1k, add in Travis and their love and support may just be the thing to heal Veronica, help her feel strong again and fight back in the most appropriate way possible. Much love and many thanks to Heather, while Heavenly Angel still remains my favorite this now runs a VERY close second. Can't wait for the next visit to Divine.

Heather Rainier has hit another one out of the park!! The characters were awsome and so relatable. I could see myself on Veronica. And Heather made me see things about myself! I totally fell on love with Hank and Travis. I love this series and totally recommend it for anyone who craves a great romance and wonderful heros, who love and protect their love!

5 stars! I have been in love with the Divine series since I first read Divine Grace. I thought Divine Grace was Mrs. Rainier best book of her series but Awakening Veronica is on the same level of her first book and maybe even surpass it. Her writing is amazing and the relation to real life is real! This book really reached out to her audience (especially me)! Her book might make you cry throughout the book but it’s worth it. To some readers this might hit directly on point to their heart because they can relate to some of the stuff that the main character goes through. I couldn’t put Veronica down and what happens to Tabitha the antagonist; well let’s just say it seems like her past is finally about to show! AND what an amazing story that will turn out if Mrs. Rainer decides to tell Tabitha’s story! (I really hope so!)

Wow!!! This book is so good. Veronica was so beaten down and bullied, mainly by her family. Hank and Travis will not tolerate a bully (male or female). Little by little Nika finds her voice with help from Hank and Travis.I can relate to Veronica. I have a few family members that are bullies too.Your family should be your soft place to fall.They should not be the reason you need one. I found myself crying, laughing and pumping my fist in the air when Nika found her way to Hank and Travis. Add a fabulous threesome (Hank,Nika and Travis),Grandma Kate from the Lusty series (Thank you. Cara Covington ,for the hilarious loan) Appearances from some of Divines other families, a few surprises, a bit of an outburst from little Rose Marie and you get one hell of a book. And Tabitha,your secrets are about to be discovered. Ready or not. I didn't want this book to end. Well done, Heather,well done.I'm so ready for the next book.

This series just keeps getting better and better. Bullying has always been a problem. Most people don't realize they are doing it. Heather adds everyday stuff along with the hot fantasy stuff in her books. I think that is why you get caught up with the story lines. Read this series and I know you will be hooked. I was so excited that Hank finally got his story and HEA and Travis is just HOT and Nika deserves them both. Can't wait until the next story.
