Menage appears to be "in" and stories involving multiple partners are becoming ever more popular. But this is the first story I have ever encountered where the shifters were longhorn steers. The heroine is young and inexperienced in the ways of romance, the only daughter of a wealthy Texas businessman, and one whose life is endangered by those who would scam him out of his business, his money, and his life. The initial attempt on Scarlett's life leaves her without any memory of the attempted murder or of her past. When she is rescued, she realizes that she has been taken into the home of seven brother, all of whom claim she is their mate according to the Fates, and all of whom are longhorn shifters. Scarlett isn't sure how she feels about all this until she succumbs to their wooing and realizes that they are all fantastic lovers and they are all falling in love with her. This is the first in a series of novellas that are NOT stand alone books. My only objection: they are all way too short and way too expensive for the number or pages in each. Ms Newmar does well in developing the basis for the coming books, but it feels like paying full price for half a book. Otherwise, the plot and story line seem fascinating and one that should prove interesting to watch as each novella highlighting each brother becomes available.

Didn't catch on that this was a series until the story was done, but I will purchase the rest when the whole series is out so I can read it in a sitting. So far so good - Love the characters and all of their many differences.

A fun jaunt for an hour. It starts out very strong, I just have some questions regarding wrapping up the story line, but hey... that is what all those sequels are for! I look forward to reading the rest of her series.

Wonderful story!! Great start to the series, can't wait to read the other books! Lola Newmar is such a talented author, the story is engrossing from start to end. A MUST READ!

I loved the emotions of this book and how Scarlett is fire character and not a whimpy young girl in the face of discovery she has 7 mates. It was intense and way too short for character development. I am just very glad that Ms. Newmar has written this series with each brothers and a cap off of there own books. Hopefully, the rest will be as good as this one with more plot and sex...its a good start with great potentials.

This is going to be the first in a series, but they don't let you know the book doesn't end before you purchase it. I liked the story but felt that character development was stilted and there was no closure. Overall it will be a great series but I feel that it needed to be longer to get into the storyline.

overall really good but still never really find out much about her which i wish they gave you a few more hints. definitely looking forward to the next book in the series and i liked the characters and can't wait to learn more about each one as the series progresses
