This is the first of the Brac Pack books that involves a non- wolf shifter. Roman is a bear shifter. You can see in this book a glimpse of how Brac Village is going to be. Roman and his family are great, and Steven is likeable. There was not much angst in this story, but my feeling was that it is setting the stage for the rest of the series. A must read for Brac Pack fans.
