STORY EXCERPT

“Morning, Jenna.” One of the cashiers, Heather, gave her a cheery wave as she walked by. Most of the cashiers didn’t bother to greet her because of who her dad and brother were. She tried not to let it bother her, but sometimes it did. She felt like her time in this town was a dead-end street, but she felt trapped. Where would she go and with what money?

“Morning.” Jenna waved back, heading for her office that was all the way at the back of the store.

She was ten minutes late, and her supervisor, Norman, wasn’t the most understanding boss.

She took a deep breath and exhaled as she turned the doorknob and pushed open the door to the compact cramped office. It really needed a window to make it less of a dungeon. Norman was in there sitting behind his metal desk with a pile of paperwork in front of him. He looked up with a disapproving glare clear behind his wire-framed glasses. He wore his usual white shirt and black tie. His gray hair was combed back neatly. The man never smiled, at least not at her. “You are twelve minutes late, Miss Dawson.”

“I’m sorry, sir. It won’t happen again,” she replied, putting her purse in the tiny lockers the employees put their belongings in. She put on her vest with her name tag on it. She left her long blond hair loose today instead of the usual bun.

“See that it doesn’t. We keep a strict schedule in this store, and I expect it to be followed. The world works on rules,” he grumbled, going back to his paperwork.

Jenna had been hired three years ago by Norman’s supervisor, but Norman made his dislike for Jenna clear the day she moved from being a cashier in the line up front to customer service. Not that Jenna ever did anything to make the man dislike her. Many people didn’t like Kyle or Miles and often grouped her in the same category as them. It wasn’t fair, but she learned long ago life wasn’t fair.

Jenna swallowed her snappy reply and headed out to get behind the customer service counter. Her friend and coworker Lyssa was already out there. Jenna gave her an apologetic smile and whispered, “Sorry.”

“No problem, girl.” Lyssa smiled back easily. Her brown hair was up in a ponytail. “It’s a slow morning.”

“Thank god for that. Maybe my luck is turning around for the better.” Jenna sighed, feeling exhausted, and the morning was just starting. Lyssa gave her a sympathetic pat. She knew all about Jerry’s bad behavior. Everyone did. Gossip spread fast in this town.

“We can all use some good luck for a change,” Lyssa agreed. “There are plenty of fish in the sea, girlfriend.”

“Not for me, Lyssa,” Jenna answered sadly. “I am done searching for Mr. Right. He is a myth. I am going to embrace my spinster life.”

Lyssa chuckled, not falling for it. “You’re crazy, Jen. You are too beautiful and smart to stay single. Jerry was a little boy. You need a real man.”

Jenna couldn’t argue with that description of her ex. She’d always wanted to share her life with a good, honest man and have a family. Someone who would love her and their children and not kick them around like her dad had. Some dreams just didn’t come true. Her mom had run away when her home life got bad. She’d left her kids behind with a drunk, violent drug dealer. Jenna would never do that. Not that a happy home life looked like it would be in the cards. Most men regarded her in an unfavorable light because of her family. She spent so many years trying to prove she was nothing like Kyle or Miles Dawson, but it had done no good. Now whenever people eyed her with suspicion, she ignored them. A last name did not define who you were.

“Will you look at that handsome hunk heading this way,” Lyssa gushed in a low voice so she wouldn’t be overheard. She even fluffed up her dark brown hair and straightened her vest.

Jenna laughed but didn’t bother trying to see what her friend saw. She was busy counting and adding up receipts. Men were off of her list for a while. “Go for it, girlfriend. I am out of the dating scene, remember?”

“Too bad,” Lyssa purred. “He has to be new. I’d remember seeing this handsome hunk around.”

“Good afternoon, sir. How can I help you?” Jenna heard her friend’s voice get low and soft as if she was flirting. Lyssa liked to flirt, and she was good at it.

“Afternoon, sweetheart. I need a raincheck on the steaks you have for sale. The guy at the meat counter said he was out of them.” The man’s voice was deep and smooth like velvet. She wondered how it would sound during intimacy. Whoa, where did that thought come from?

Jenna looked up just out of curiosity and found herself just as bowled over as Lyssa. He was tall and had wide shoulders and thick arms. He was fit and obviously worked out. A dark tattoo peeked out of his short-sleeved T-shirt. His hair was blond and long enough to touch his collar. His cheekbones were high, and he had a strong chin with a cleft visible. His mouth was perfectly formed like that of any Greek statue. He wasn’t familiar, so he must be new in town. He also had an aura of authority mixed with danger that wrapped around him like a cloak. As Lyssa wrote out the raincheck, he made eye contact with Jenna. His eyes were a pretty hazel color with specks of green in them that shined under the lights. She closed her mouth before drool came out. Holy hell, why hadn’t she met him long ago before she became cynical about men. She saw him glance at her name tag. She felt his hot glances as if he was undressing her with his eyes. It wasn’t the first time, but she felt different. Her belly filled with heat, and she felt shaky. Jenna panicked, she grabbed her pile of receipts. She did not need to feel attracted to any man right now. Not while she was still dealing with the hassle of Jerry.

“I’ll be back, Lyssa.” Her voice cracked slightly, but hopefully, her friend didn’t notice.

Lyssa was too busy fawning over Mr. Tall, Dark, and Handsome to care. “Sure thing, Jenna. I got this.”

Lyssa handed the mysterious man his raincheck with a killer smile. “Here you go, handsome. Come back Thursday morning when we get a new truck in.”

Jenna couldn’t resist checking him out one more time and making eye contact with him for a brief second. He appeared to be studying her just as intently, but she couldn’t understand why. He gave her a heated peek that made her pussy throb with need. He looked away before she could blink and winked at Lyssa, returning her flirty smile. He grabbed the slip out of Lyssa’s hand. “Thank you, gorgeous. See you Thursday for sure.”

Lyssa blushed giving him a flirty wink. Typical man. Just a big flirt. Feeling disappointed she took her papers and went to give them to Norman. Men these days had no clue what it meant to be faithful and loyal. Nope, she was better off single.

ADULT EXCERPT

Everett’s cock was ready to bust out of his jeans when Jenna stripped down to her underwear. Her black bra held up her firm, full breasts. Her black panties covered her pussy, but he wanted to see it uncovered. He’d been dying for this for a long time, since the night at the bar all those weeks ago. Fighting his feelings was no longer an option for him and his brother. The more time they spent with her, the more their feelings grew. He was taking a big chance trusting Jenna. The Jenna he was getting to know would never be involved in any of Miles’s activities. He knew that for sure. He knew the townspeople never got to know her or gave her a chance.

He swallowed hard as he took off his t-shirt, flinging it on the carpet. He could see the excitement in her pretty brown eyes, and it hardened his cock painfully. He slipped his jeans off and watched her lick her lips with anticipation when his cock was finally free and pointing right at her. Easton was done stripping first, and she ran her hands up both of their chests. “You both are the sexiest men I have ever laid eyes on.”

Everett chuckled, his body getting heated at the desire in her eyes. She wasn’t bothering to hide how much she wanted them. He liked her open honesty. “Thank you, ma’am.”

Jenna giggled. Easton unclipped her bra, letting it drop to the floor. Her breasts were perfect. The tips were like little berries calling his name. He reached out and cupped them with his hands. “You are the sexy one, Jenna. I have been wanting to get my hands on these breasts for weeks now. Do we need condoms?”

“I’m on the pill, and I’m clean. Had a doctor check me out,” she admitted with concern.

Easton slipped her panties down her thighs, and she stepped out of them, leaving her completely naked. She was waxed, but a small triangle of blond was still visible.

Everett took his time studying her. She had curves in all the right places. Her waist was small, her hips rounded nicely. The way her eyes shone with desire increased what he was feeling. “I’d love to feel us skin to skin, babe. I always keep up with doctors, and I’m clean too.” He didn’t mention it had been a while since he’d had sex. He just hadn’t felt interested enough to make the effort of meeting someone out of town. Now he was glad he waited for this moment. It felt meaningful.

“This ass is so round and firm, it’s begging to be fucked. Damn girl, you’re killing me.” He heard the deep arousal in his brother’s voice, and it added fuel to his own flame. They hadn’t shared a woman in so many years, he had forgotten the pleasure of watching the expression crossing a woman’s face while his brother took care of her needs and vice versa.

Everett leaned in, taking the tip of her breast in his mouth and sucking on it hard. Her head fell back against Easton’s chest, and she moaned loudly. Easton’s hands were traveling to her pussy. “You are so wet, you naughty girl,” Easton said cheerfully.

Jenna giggled. “It’s you and your brother’s fault. Every time you touch me, I feel so horny. Like I’m going to explode.” Her breathing was getting heavy and choppy.

Everett concentrated on suckling her breast. Her legs were on the edge of the bed, and she fell back, landing on her back. Perfect. Her open thighs displayed the wetness visible to their eyes.

Easton wasted no time in putting his mouth on her pussy. Jenna closed her eyes. Gentle little moans were coming out of her mouth. It made his cock so hard. Just seeing the enjoyment on her face turned him on. He scooted up on the bed by her face and caressed her cheek. She gave him a knowing look and opened her mouth for him to place his cock in it. Her tongue came out, licking the tip of his dick, all while keeping her eyes focused on his. When she sucked him into her mouth, tingles spread throughout his whole body.

“Shit, Jenna.” He was in trouble here. How did he go from getting to know Jenna for information to genuine feelings in such a short time? He had no answers, but he put all those thoughts out of his head. Right now, he was going to enjoy this night. Her mouth was sucking him in deep down her throat, and that was all he could concentrate on.
