Having a cousin who is gay and having witnessed his struggle this book hit close to home. Tymber did a wonderful job expressing how hard it can be to be true to yourself while trying not to hurt those you love.

Tilly, Cris, and Landry are three of my favorite characters ever. I was so excited to get a full blown follow up to their original story, Cardinal's Rule, having seen bits and pieces in the books that followed . This story did not dissapoint. Seeing how they have moved past all the issues and developed into a cohesive team, was great, and seeing how they continue to develop and grow as their past issues come back made it worth the wait. I look forward to glimpses of them in upcoming books in the future

Tymber has a knack for writing books that make you run the gamut of emotions, she can make you laugh one minute and cry the next. She has a way with words that makes me look forward to what she has coming next. Tymber's books are some of my go to books when I am looking for something to read. This book is no exception. The way she brings to life Gilo, who we only knew as a wise ass prior to this book and shows you the other side to his personality is typical Tymber, it is fun and emotional.

Tymber addresses domestic abuse and it's fallout in a way that is real and raw. This book also shows that it is possible to overcome and find a love that is true and good. It is a wonderful read for anyone who likes to feel the emotions of the characters as you are reading them
