It seems almost unnecessary to state that I have loved this series right from the start. I was delighted to read this latest in the Desire, OK stories and experience once again the very unique characteristics of that community. It was no surprise when Erin gravitated toward Allison as her response to Desire was so similar at the outset. I was not as aware of Dillon and Ryder in previous stories and will have to go back and read those again. That being said, they were an interesting pair of friends--seemingly so different and yet so alike in their need to find the person who would make their life complete and their future secure. I liked the tentative nature of the future that hung over them--Allison's difficulties with her ex and the faith that Dillon and Ryder were willing to put on the line in efforts to help her. As always, Ms Brooke brought her extensive writing expertise to bear in making the characters come alive and connecting this story with the previous stories in this series through the interaction of the characters. Just an awesome novel and one that Brooke fans, erotic romance fans, and those who love an entertaining read will be delighted to experience.

I had really looked forward to Leah Brooke's next release in her Desire series but I was a bit disappointed. I can't even say why exactly. Although I liked the story, it is by no means my favorite from this author. There just seemed to be something missing.

Just finished "Raw Desire" and what can I say? AWESOME!!!! The characters are incredbile and easy to relate too. The story line keeps you on the edge and won't let you put the book down. AN INCREDIBLE READ!!! I've already recommended the Desire, OK series to my friends!

Leah Brooke has given her readers a book that is just a bit of a change of pace than those that have recently come from her writing efforts. Yes, it involves a menage relationship and that is consistent with much of her other books, but it brings the reader into the contemporary world of the hotel industry and the rather unusual relationship between a woman who is really a gifted decorator and two hotel magnates whose attraction to her borders on obsession. Yet there is still a gap between their desire for her sexually and their complete trust of her, the kind of trust that must be present for true love to exist between them. This is not your simplistic boy-meets-girl kind of novel. Rather, it is a complicated romance that is mixed in with a very compelling suspense plot and before the ending finally comes, there is lots to experience and process between these three people as well as others who may be secondary characters but who shape the outcome of the story as well as the long-term relationship of the main characters. This is a stand alone novel and it is one that I am glad to have read. It bears the marks of Ms Brooke's expertise as a story teller of note as well as her wordsmithing. Every lover of erotic romance will delight in this book as well those who are especially glad when a very good romance/suspense novel comes along. You owe it to yourself to read this book!

This entire series of novels has been a great reading experience for me and one filled with novels to which I have returned several times. All the characters are delightful and the strong bonds which define this community are evident in the way these people hold one another in their affections, full of respect for their individuality and for the contributions they make for the common good. In this latest book, the sheriff is featured, a man with dark and deep needs he is certain no woman can truly tolerate and so he has sealed his real feelings behind defensive walls. Now Hope Sanderson has returned and become the co-owner of a woman's club. Her heart has been set on Ace for years but she is hoping that now that she is grown, a college graduate, a business owner, and able to care for herself, that this dark and withdrawn man will allow his evident attraction to her become the foundation for a relationship. Yet even as he resists her persistent overtures, Ace realizes that his heart is caving in to his desire for her and she is meeting his every challenge with fortitude and continuing love. It is really about a man who wants so much to love but is really afraid that giving in to that need will diminish him. Hope is the only one who can change his mind and his life. It is a spectacular love story and carries on the tradition of find romance fiction for which Leah Brooke is well known. It is also another fine addition to this series and those who have followed it from the first will not only enjoy reading Ace & Hope's story but the continuing saga of this community and people already introduced in the other novels in this series. It is a wonderfully entertaining read and is sure to please all serious romance fans.
