This was a fun read! I enjoyed the twist on the familiar tale, and of course Stacey always does hot shifters so well! Scarlet was a likable character and I found myself rooting for her from page one.

Pussy in Boots by Georgia Fox (Published by: Evernight Publishing )
$3.99
Categories: BDSM , Fairy Tales/Myths , Multiple Partners

This reviewer's rating: 5 - Outstanding

This author pulls me in from word one, no matter what she writes, and this book is no different. Her unique voice and quirky sense of humor made this one of the most enjoyable reads I've ever had. I absolutely loved the story and the characters, and I found myself rooting for the heroine to have her HEA from page one. The story is erotic, tender, and humorous. The sex scenes are bawdy and HOT. Well done, Georgia!! Only you could pull off such a fabulous story. :) As to the rest of you, go and buy this one right now!!

The Wolves of Argonne (MFM) by Kastil Eavenshade (Published by: Evernight Publishing )
$3.99
Categories: Fairy Tales/Myths , Menage a Trois/Quatre , Shape-shifter

This reviewer's rating: 4 - Good

This was an interesting twist on Little Red Riding Hood. Even though I guessed early on what Rosabel actually was, it was fun to find out the truth of her birthright through her character. I would have liked to see more competition between Ulric and Conall for Rosabel. The fight that was said to be necessary by their law because they both wanted Rosabel for a mate never happened, and I'm still not sure why. Also, it was easy to see her falling in love with Conall but not Ulric. In lust maybe, but her declaration of love was a surprise to me, and consequently the story felt unfinished. The sex scenes were smoking hot and very well done, and the characters were easy to relate to.

Maggie's Abduction (MF) by Lea Barrymire (Published by: Siren-BookStrand, Inc. )
$3.99
Categories: Contemporary , Science Fiction

This reviewer's rating: 4 - Good

I loved the premise of this story. Maggie was a very likable character right from the start, sure of who she is and what she wants. Raharan was everything a hero should be. He protected Maggie and was kind to her, almost cherishing her at times. The sex scenes were frequent and didn't overpower the story. I didn't feel as emotionally connected to either the hero or heroine as I would have liked. The story seemed to end too abruptly. I was waiting for more detail about the alien world Maggie found herself in. I think the author has created a fascinating world, and I hope she writes future books involving these interesting creatures. I look forward to her next book.

Summer Heat (MM) by Alex Carreras (Published by: Siren-BookStrand, Inc. )
$3.5
Categories: Contemporary , Western/Cowboys , Alternative (M/M, Gay)

This reviewer's rating: 4 - Good

The author does a great job with the well-written sexual tension, and the coming to terms with a relationship between two men who knew each other as boys. Now that they're grown, one is out and the other is still struggling with his sexuality. Both are trying to find their place in the world. Set all this on a farm and you have the perfect hot summer ambiance. What I liked about this book was the tenderness of the story and the way the characters grew by the end of the book. Tough to pull off with such a short word count. Not entirely sure I believed them falling in love, however. It came too quickly and a bit out of the blue, but with a higher word count it could have been more fully developed, as the basics were already there. It's refreshing to read a M/M romance where the heroes think and speak like real men. The sex scenes were hot, gritty without being overly graphic, and believable. I'll be looking forward to reading Spanish Heat from this author.

Lovers and Saints (MF) by Camile Carson (Published by: Siren-BookStrand, Inc. )
$4.99
Categories: Contemporary , Romantic Suspense

This reviewer's rating: 3 - Average

I love reading and writing romantic suspense. This story started out slow for me, but once the author got to the suspense part, the writing tightened up. It's in writing suspense that this author's skills really shine. The suspense thread of this book is creepy and chilling, and as the story progresses the tension doesn't let up. There are a lot of characters, and at times the POV jumps quickly from one to the next, but all of the characters play a necessary part in solving the crime. I do love that we get to solve the crime along with the heroine as the book progresses. As to the romance, I was a bit confused at first, because it read more like a love triangle between Samantha, Carl and Andre rather than a budding romance between Sam and Andre. I also felt like I was being told there was sexual tension between Sam and Andre, rather than shown it. I would have loved a chance to get to know Andre on my own as a reader. In many of the scenes Sam mentally compared what Carl would do or say with what Andre would do or say in any given situation. I would have preferred these scenes evolve more through action and dialogue, actually showing these men competing for her attention, rather than being given a series of "what-if" scenarios told through Samantha's imagination. When Sam and Andre finally did get together, and when the author wrote scenes between them that were action-based rather than introspective, they were hot and well done. I would read another of her books.
