Porpoiseful Intent (MM) by Tymber Dalton (Published by: Siren-BookStrand, Inc. )
$5.5
Categories: Paranormal, Shape-shifter, Alternative (M/M, Gay)

This reviewer's rating: 5 - Outstanding

I really enjoyed this second instalment in the Placida Pod series. Great to see Sean and Emery back and they really have gelled well as a couple here. I loved Wyatt, the alligator shifter, and Sean's parent's way of dealing with the fact that their son's partner is a dolphin. Eric has murderous intent and the book ends with more to come. Good sex to plot ratio and Sean and Emery are a hot couple.

Love Beyond the Curve (MF) by Kate Patrick (Published by: Siren-BookStrand, Inc. )
$3.99

This reviewer's rating: 4 - Good

This is a very sweet, down-home kind of romance. Featuring a nice heroine and a sexy leading man, who become friends first, then work their way through to more. Charlotte is a paediatric nurse who has just moved to Memphis for work. She meets her landlord, Reed, later - her acccomodation had been made on her behalf. Charlotte is a full-figured lovely who likes herself but has been hurt by others, including catty women and men who love her personality and looks, but don't want to be seen out with 'the bigger girl.' Reed works in construction and in the beginning has a girlfriend, Candace, who is the stereotypically thin gym-junkie. She doesn't like his down-to-earth manner, ideas and friends. They both come from well-to-do family's, and Candace is a snob. As Reed gets to know Charlotte he falls for her. First as a friend, then as more. And he just loves her curves, finds them soft, enticing....including her full breasts :) I thought this a very sweet book with two lovely main characters, particularly Reed. I loved the way he set about "courting" Charlotte, to let her know he finds her sexy, and incredible....inside and out. I liked Carlotte as well, she was very likeable as a person but somtimes Charlotte frustrated me - as a woman I understood her fear - I wanted her to let go a little earlier, Reed is adorable. It is a slow burn to their actual loving relationship and full sexual encounter but it is a very sweet, fitting moment. Love Beyond The Curve is not as steamy as the first two ebooks I have read by Ms Patrick but it is very romantic and there is a message - love who you are, respect yourself, and take a chance when it comes along. I have to admit there was one line in the book that was special to me - "you are all woman." I'll say no more :) If you like true romance, if you want to root for the fuller-figured woman and the hunky, caring man you definitely should read Love Beyond The Curve.

Memphis Heat (MF) by Kate Patrick (Published by: Siren-BookStrand, Inc. )
$4.5
Categories: Contemporary

This reviewer's rating: 5 - Outstanding

Another romantic, sexy, M/F read by Kate Patrick. Memphis heat is well written the characters are terrific. I love a female who knows what she wants and isn't afraid of some good lovin'. I love a hot, strong, romantic man. I get both here. Maeve meets a sexy man at a Memphis Blues bar and, uncharacteristcally for her, she decides to let her hair down with him after a dance. Why not, he's sexy, charming and wants her. They have a night of unbridled passion. Maeve leaves the next morning only to find out her sexy man from the night before is her competitor on some commercial real estate. So, Maeve and Steele are both interested in the same property for different reasons, Maeve for a community development, Steele for another in his chain of bars. There is some VERY sexy writing in this book and it helps that the characters are easy to like. The story progresses nicely, even though they're in competition they are having some sexy fun. However, fun turns into more, even though there is an outcome on the property which doesn't favour one. Neither can forget the other as much as they feel they might be able to. Will they be able to get over their real estate rivalry? Will sex be the only thing that they leave on the menu? Have a read, it's a terrific novella sized book. Memphis Heat is not too long, not too short, it's just right in every way. This is my second Kate Patrick book and I'm impressed. Nice writing, no typos, great editing and great characters. Highly recommended, sexy reading.

Accidentally on Porpoise (MM) by Tymber Dalton (Published by: Siren-BookStrand, Inc. )
$5.5
Categories: Paranormal, Shape-shifter, Alternative (M/M, Gay)

This reviewer's rating: 4 - Good

A fun, sexy read about a dolphin shifter who literally 'bumps' into his bond mate. Sean is on his boat, gets close to some playful dolphins, and his life is changed for the better. Emery is pretty happy with who his "rescuer" is and has no problems showing it, in some sex-filled ways. There is plenty of sex, especially with Emery's 11" Whopper and Sean's 9" Quarter Pounder and some action; as one of the other dolphin shifters in the pod does not like Sean cutting in on Emery. He plots revenge and families need to adjust. One thing I like about shifer books is the ability to have insta-love. I expect it and Acidentally on Porpoise doesn't let me down. There are few "mines"and "I'm yours" in here and, I'll admit it, I'm a sucker for that. If you like shifter themed books, M/M, plenty of sex, and some down-to-earth, sweet characters then this book is recommended reading.

One Sizzling Summer (MF) by Kate Patrick (Published by: Siren-BookStrand, Inc. )
$4.99
Categories: Contemporary

This reviewer's rating: 5 - Outstanding

This is a very polished book from the writing to the editing to the characters. Both MC’s are likeable, mature and intelligent. They both have careers that they take seriously. Ava working towards her Psychology Doctorate, Quinton working towards furthering his acting career. No-one is needy or co-dependent, yet they care deeply for one another. Quinton is charming. He’s also sexy as all get out, so he’s not boring in any sense of the word. He’s not your stereotypical, brash alpha male. He’s a contemporary romance nice guy. Ava is understanding, caring, has a good career and friends. She's never a TSTL character. For those looking for a traditional style of M/F romance, with no rough play, no major angst, here it is. There is a period of self-sacrificing from Ava, and a silly moment from Quinton, but that's pretty much it. One Sizzling Summer will be a breath of fresh air for the true romance enthusiast. It hits the mark beautifully; it’s sexy and stylish all at once. Siren Publishing caters to an extremely wide variety of tastes in the books they publish. They do have some gems in their writing ranks and I believe Kate Patrick is one of them. If you like full on romance with some sizzling sex then I recommend you grab a copy of One Sizzling Summer.

Stolen Nights of Passion (MM) by Leigha Phillips (Published by: Siren-BookStrand, Inc. )
$4.5
Categories: Regency, Alternative (M/M, Gay)

This reviewer's rating: 4 - Good

The concept was interesting - An Earl visiting a brothel to have illicit sex with another male, unbeknownst to him, said male was his man servant; yet the Earl was offically charged with shutting down the brothels. I like the epilogue, some intrigue there, perhaps a sequel. On the down side the book needed tighter editing.

More Than Make-Believe (MM) by Tymber Dalton (Published by: Siren-BookStrand, Inc. )
$4.99
Categories: Contemporary, Alternative (M/M, Gay)

This reviewer's rating: 5 - Outstanding

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was sweet, interesting, easy to read and I literally flew through it, wanting to see what would happen. I liked the concept, two guys in the adult movie biz to make money to help them with their respective money related needs - pretty true. Travis (Craig Rocke) and Gary (Marston Cougar) are sexy, nice, good to watch getting together, developing feelings along the way. Not much drama, just a little speed hump towards the end, that only added a little bit of will-they-won't-they-get-together tension. More The Make-Believe had a good plot, endearing characters, excellent sex - let's face it, it's two guys making porn - dirty talk, and some fantasy all rolled into a neat, concise, well written, erotic package. All this topped off by a epilogue that let's you know how they've progressed. Tymber Dalton never lets you down. Hot stuff!!

$5.5

This reviewer's rating: 3 - Average

Not a bad book not a great book. The 2 main characters were OTT in different ways - Jesse was way to understanding, and too good to be true, Clayton was soooo annoying. The writing was not bad, but it was a little too formal in the use of English at times and some things came out awkward because of that. All in all, it was a good book to read to go off to sleep of a night, because there was nothing dramatic or nasty going on. Easy read, no dramas, worth a read.

This was just what I was looking for. If you enjoy - - a decent storyline - something sweet with an edge - something with a bit of emotion or angst - an erotic menage, complete with M/M as well as M/F/M - engaging characters, who have their moments - a HEA Then Sunset Hearts certainly qualifies on all counts. It was pure fun and sexiness. Can't go wrong with that. Really enjoyed it. I know this was 'penned' as Macy Largo but I normally read, and enjoy, Tymber Dalton. Anyway no matter the name on the book I thoroughly enjoyed the writing. Highly recommended.

College Boys (MM) by Daisy Harris (Published by: Siren-BookStrand, Inc. )

This reviewer's rating: 4 - Good

I want to start by saying that I don't tend to like two young guys together in my M/M, and I don't usually buy college/university themed books. I also don't go out of my way for jocks either, but this one kept haunting me. Everywhere I went I saw 'College Boys', so I took it as a sign and bought it. I'm glad I did. Plenty of good reviews already. Just my two cents worth here. Peter knows he's gay, he's a gay rep on a student council. His BFF, Nathaniel, is gay and Peter is fine with who he is. Chris is a soccer player, has jock friends but moves out to have some personal space and lands up next to Peter. The walls between their rooms are paper thin, so much so that they can converse (and act on other things that pop up) clearly through the walls. Long story short - this is well written novella with likeable characters everywhere. Peter and Chris are a really nice pairing and their dialogue is contemporary and young, which is perfect for who they are. They display just the right amount of youthful confidence laced with inexperience. My only complaint would be that, at times, their individual voice was too similar, they are quite different characters yet they were a tad identical in their speech. This is a small point as the book is a delight and I'm glad it 'haunted me' otherwise I would have missed out on a fun read.

Safe Harbor (MMF) by Tymber Dalton (Published by: Siren-BookStrand, Inc. )
$7.5
Categories: BDSM, Menage a Trois/Quatre

This reviewer's rating: 4 - Good

IF I COULD GIVE 4.5 STARS I WOULD I had Safe Harbor in my TBR pile for too long, thank goodness I got around to reading it because it's a terrific BDSM/menage read. I really loved the 3 MC's, but particularly Sully and Mac, they were so good together. Clarisse took a while to come around and to get into the loving aspect of their relationship which, given her background, was perfectly written. When they finally got together as a threesome it was hot. Really lovable characters - check, well developed plot - check, good man lovin' as well as a menage lovin' - check, nice female lead that gets courage and becomes a stronger person - check, bad ex that seeks revenge - check, cute dog - check, cute dog with butt plug chew toy - check. Personally, I preferred this book over Love Slave for Two because I really felt/identified with the characters much more intensely. I loved the BDSM components and the Master-slave aspects so much in Safe Harbor. It was perfect for mine. No-one writes a better BDSM book than Tymber Dalton and if you want a realistic look inside, as well as a good poly story, then Tymber Dalton and (definitely) Safe Harbor is a great place to be looking.

This reviewer's rating: 4 - Good

I enjoyed this installment of The Strong Cowboys of Wilde, Nevada Well, things are hotting up as there are two factions within the Strong brothers and both are 'staking a claim' on Charly. I'm not quite sure why she's so popular but, hey, they like her and she's up for a good menage, so go girl. Thank goodness there were less "fuck, fuck, fuckity, fucks" here. I must go on record and say I rather liked (coveted) Heath - manipulative, neanderthal that he is - he's one sexy cowboy. The sex was smoking hot, I do like that. Looking forward to installment 3 in this series. I'm still not fond of the linked series format, but I am getting into this series and Chloe Lang is nothing if not passionate with her characters, especially the men.

A lot of promise here in this book but just not fully tapped. Rather than this linked series style a full book would appeal to me more. What I didn't like - I hated the "fuckity, fuck, fuck, fucks" that Charly uses, it's immature and I don't know any women who do or would use this. The tarot readers false accent was terribly off putting. Because it was a short story the sex was very quick to happen, so that real chemistry between characters that lets you into their bedroom (so to speak) wasn't able to be explored and developed fully. I don't like this style of ending. What I liked - Lots of promise, nicely edited and put together, sexy cowboys who dote on their partner, multiple male partners, no holds barred in the sex scenes and pretty nicely done too, left of centre good feel to the town, I do love a perverse set of characters. Inspite of the fact that there were some negatives in this review I've just bought Strong Desire and will now set to reading that. I do have high hopes for this series.
