Sean sucked on his bottom lip and considered just how he should handle Archie. A rather oddly acting Archie.

The kid was cute. Really cute. He had a mess of dark ringlets on his head, high cheekbones, and long lashes that would be the envy of many women. And chocolate brown eyes he could easily drown in.

Then there were his plump pink lips that begged to be kissed.

Damn it all to hell the kid was practically naked, too. How much could Sean take?

Oh, he wanted to fuck Archie all right. He’d wanted to fuck him since the first day Archie had moved into the building carrying in boxes and furniture wearing nothing but his short shorts hugging his bubble butt and his bare midriff T-shirt exposing his perfect six-pack abs. Sean knew the instant he saw Archie, the kid was gay. And it wasn’t his too-beautiful looks, his diamond hoops or his clingy clothes. It was the way he salivated staring at Sean.

It hadn’t taken Sean long to make his move after finding out Archie really wasn’t a kid but was twenty-three. Sean himself was only twenty-nine. But he’d found out Archie had stars in his eyes and dreamed of prince charming sweeping him off his feet.

Sean wasn’t anyone’s prince charming. Wasn’t looking to be anyone’s anything for a long ass time. So he and Archie were friends.

Just friends. No matter how hot the kid was.

He was well aware that if he had sex with Archie, the kid would get hurt. No matter what mad scheme or bug up his ass Archie had going on now, he’d come crashing back to reality soon enough and want what he always wanted. Coupledom.

Wasn’t going to happen.

On the other hand, the idea of Archie giving it up for that dickhead cop Mike made Sean want to punch Mike in his ugly mug.

He couldn’t allow that to happen.

“Are you hungry?” he asked, when he could think of no other way to stall Archie.

Archie blinked those amazing eyelashes at him." Am I what?”

“Hungry. Because you know I didn’t get home from my shift that long ago. I bet you just got home, too. I have some leftover chili I could heat up."

“What? Chili?” Archie shook his head." I don’t want to eat, I want to fuck."

Sean rolled his eyes. It was hard to take Archie too seriously when he said words like fuck. He was so sweet and pretty that words like that flying out of his mouth just seemed wrong.

“Why? All of a sudden?”

“It’s not all of a sudden. I’ve always wanted to have sex with you."

“You know what I mean."

Archie narrowed his eyes and huffed out an exaggerated breath. "Okay, fine. Mike it is." And then he made for the door.

Stopped when he remembered Sean was leaning against it. "Want to let me out?”

“No. Look, you may not be hungry, but I am. And if you are expecting some energetic fucking, you’re going to have to let me get some fuel." And while they ate, Sean could find out what the hell had happened to change Archie into a casual sex fiend.

Archie blew out a dramatic breath." Geez. Okay, fine. Chili first, then wild sex."
