Average Rating:

Jadette Paige is the pseudonym for author Judith Leger. Over the last year, she has started writing M/M and erotic romances. Blue Heaven is her first M/M novel. She lives in SW Louisiana (yes, hurricane alley) with her family. She loves creating new characters and worlds for readers to visit over and over again. When she’s not writing, she’s reading, watching anime or enjoying the country atmosphere of her home. She sits on her back patio and looks out over the pastures to where her Appaloosa mare is grazing. Her little dachshund is stretched out at her feet. With four men in the house, Jadette needs all the female company she can come across, even the four-legged kind. She loves to hear from fans. If they stop by her website, be sure and sign the guest book!

Q: Did you always want to become a writer?

A: Not necessarily an author, but I’ve always been a dreamer. To me, a good writer has to be a dreamer. Ever since I was little, I’ve loved to read. When I was little and as I grew older, I would play in these worlds. Years later, I decided I wanted to share them with others. That’s how my writing career started.

Q: What is the most and the least interesting fact about writing?

A: Most fun – Receiving glowing reviews of my books. That’s when I know I’ve accomplished what I set out to do; to bring enjoyment to others. The least fun - editing! But I have to say in the end, with the input of a great editor, the book glows. If this helps make the reader enjoy the story then it’s so worth the editing process.

Q. What inspired you to write M/M books?

A: I’ve read some really great M/M books and felt I needed to capture the same essence they did with their books. When Blue Heaven came to me, the characters started to breathe and their heartbeats proclaimed they were alive.

Q: Do you feel each of your characters live with you as you write? Do their lives sometimes take over a part of your life?

A: Oh, yes, my characters consume me as I write. They’re with me in the shower, driving, and even while I’m watching television. My kids catch me having entire conversations with my characters. They shake their heads and don’t bother to ask. They know!

Q: Where do you get the inspirations for your books?

A: Mostly from my dreams which are very vivid. Also I love to watch anime (Japanese graphic novels on film). I have to say they have influenced the worlds some of my stories are set in.

Q: Do you have a problem with deadlines and have you ever suffered a writer’s block?

A: I thrive under pressure. I really do. I have my periods when I won’t write a word. It could last one to six months. My characters are silent, almost as if they’re hibernating. When they awaken, it’s with a tremendous amount of creativity. When that happens, I’m fulfilled and can totally fill pages of story line.

Q: What is your favorite book from the books that you have written so far? Who are your favorite hero and heroine, and why?

A: My favorite book to date was a surprise to me. It’s my male/male fantasy romance, Blue Heaven. I never believed the characters could touch me as deeply as my two heroes did in this book.

Q: Would you like to give another genre a try?

A: Oh, yes. I believe that as an author, growth is required. To grow sometimes, we have to color outside the lines. For me it’s writing M/M and right now, I’m in the process of writing an erotic horror romance. So, I’ve started another journey into the realm of erotic romance.
