Joyee Flynn grew up in Chicago living in the same house all her life until she left for college. Her mom taught Joyee how to read at an early age and was able to read books at a 3rd grade level before attending kindergarten. She always read above her reading level and read some of her favorite novels in 6th grade for the first time.

Though she has a great life, she loves to get lost in fantasy that only books could bring. She kept writing short stories, romance, mystical, and of course adding in hot cowboys any chance she could. Her wide interest in reading was reflected in her writings. Currently Joyee lives with her dog, Marius, named after a vampire from Ann Rice's Interview with the Vampire series. She dreams of one day living out in Montana, enough land to have a few horses, and find a couple of cowboys of her own.

A lover of men, Joyee's all about them in any form in her books. Vampire, werewolf, military, doesn't matter at all as long as they are hot, hard, and sex fiends!

Q: What is your normal day like?

A: Roll out of bed, walk the dog, and then make coffee. The coffee is important. I sit down with coffee and breakfast, re-read what I wrote yesterday and make any edits. That takes about an hour, after that I start writing based on my time. I write 50 minutes and take a ten minute break to do household chores. That's when I gather my thoughts on what I see next in the story. Normally, I forget lunch so I have an early dinner and return emails. I write for a little longer, then maybe watch the TV for a while that's been on all day. My pup has had guard/attack training, so unless there's other noise in the background, he barks at every little noise. After I take the pup out for the night, we crawl into bed. And yes, he sleeps under the covers with me, LOL.

Q: When did you know you wanted to be a writer?

A: Not until after college, but I started writing in grammar school. I was a nerd who had popular friends, but I was pretty quite and got picked on a lot. Instead of sticking up for myself, which I learned when I got older, I would go home and write about what happened. I would turn it into a story and change the ending into how I wanted it to be.

Q: Where do you get most of the ideas for your stories?

A: Honestly, not a clue. I guess it's either a culmination of things I've seen or read. I just get this basic idea for a plot or character. After I sleep on it for a few days, I have a book in my head that I have to get on paper.

Q: Do you have any unfinished projects sitting around?

A: Yes, I think all authors do.

Q: What are some of your hobbies?

A: I read a lot, and incredibly fast. It's a very expensive habit. Other than that, I'm kind of a dork. I like to garden, make my own candles, and lots of crafts. I really don't think checking hot guys is a hobby, but I really wish it was. I like to workout and be outdoors, pretty basic stuff.

Q: Who are some of your favorite authors, and if we were to visit your home, what books would we find on your bookshelf?

A: You'd find more books than I really have room for. LOL. I'm a HUGE Charlaine Harris fan, though I have most of her stuff on ebook. I love the Anita Blake series, and almost anything vampire or shifter. Obviously, I'm a major Stormy Glenn fan, I'm just glad she was crazy enough to agree to work with me. I like Nora Roberts, Ann Rice, and I'm totally into the classics. I have everything Shakespeare and Charles Dickens ever wrote.

Q: If you could be any character of any book or movie, who would you be?

A: Anita Blake, I would totally pick her! Then I'd kick my own ass for letting Richard treat me the way he has for so long. And then probably have a lot more sex then she does. I don't have quite the same hang up's as she does. I identify with her a LOT. We have some of the same family issues, and definitely think alike.
