Average Rating:

I am a multi-published author who loves writing in various erotic romance genres. Love's Demon Ways is my first true novella length book, and by far not my last. I love the paranormal and futuristic genres the best, though my first foray into erotica came with two short contemporary suspense stories. I am a current RWA member and resident of the southwest. I hold two associates degrees, one in psychology. An unusual hobby of mine is reading psychology books on body language, war, seduction, and female empowerment. I've enjoyed reading from a very early age thanks to my mom and her commitment to buying me Little Golden Books as a child.

Q: What's your writing routine?

A: I used to write at night but now I find that the morning hours are my most productive. If I try, I can sometimes dream about my characters when I sleep and am therefore more prepared to write about them when I wake. I write every day, even if it's nothing more than a paragraph. Good days I count in pages, and mediocre days I count in words. Either way I'm writing.

Q: How do you come up with your characters?

A: I love finding obscure references to subjects and creating a story from there. InLove's Demon Ways, I came across a half-blood sex demon referred to as a Cambion, and built the story from there. The hero usually comes to me first and then I start asking what sort of woman could handle a man like this.

Q: Is there a genre you'd like to attempt to write in and why?

A: I'd love to be able to write a humorous erotica in any genre. I love the naughty and sarcastic humor of Mae West and The Marx Brothers, and would love to have a female lead character like that in one of my books. I just haven't managed to really get the tone down to where I'm satisfied. Funny, since I tend to have a dirty sense of humor myself.

Q: What advice would you have for beginning writers?

A: Enjoy the story and characters that you're writing. Although being published may be your ultimate goal, you have to first love what you're doing and that is the writing. Creativity is a unique gift and should first fulfill you. That is after all what a good story does. We are led into a world where we meet characters who draw us into their lives, and in the end feel wholly satisfied as we see their love flourish and become unbreakable.

Q: What are you working on now?

A: I've got a futuristic erotic romance in the works. I've also got another paranormal erotic romance that I'm starting to outline.

Q: Anything else you'd like readers to know?

A: I love hearing from readers. I've met some wonderful people through emails and I'm always available to answer questions from up and coming authors.
