Surprisingly enough, Fel Fern has redeemed herself (for the moment) with this second book in the ‘Gates Brothers’ series. The characters are great but the story is equally captivating... unlike Creed and Luke’s story. Crossing my fingers that Colton’s story will be good, too!

2.5 Stars ~ Better than Sam’s story but still way too similar to the previous installments. The editing leaves a lot to be desired although Sam’s book is still the worst.

So disappointing. Sam’s story is almost identical to his brother, Adam’s, from the first installment. It truly made me wonder whether there’s any truth to so many authors using ghostwriters. Even the sex scenes were almost exactly the same. Sigh.

3.25 Stars ~ I really liked the premise of this story and I’m certainly entranced with post apocalyptic worlds. Talon is everything I expected the Apex Alpha of the wolves to be but I was pleasantly surprised by Adam. He’s certainly made of stronger stuff than anyone in his village (sadly, including his brother, Sam) ever believed him to be. As I find often with this author the editing left a lot to be desired which always detracts from the story for me. Regardless, I know I’ll be jumping into Sam’s story next.

This was way too short and IMO I thought Lance forgave Joey far too easily. I truly wish there had been more drama between them and some serious soul-searching, and angst, before they properly mated. With that said, though, I liked Lance and Joey, and their romance was very sweet. *on an interesting note..... I’ve read quite a few books by this author and I feel confident knowing her writing style..... something I noticed in the previous book and then in this one..... the author has started using the term “dominant male/female” a lot more often..... and, in this novella she made a reference to “skin privileges”. Huh. I read A LOT and there’s only one author I know of who uses that term and refers to her “dominant changeling” and that’s Nalini Singh in her Psy/Changeling series. Again, this is just a little something interesting that I noticed*

The good trend continues! I so enjoyed Santino and Zack’s story although I would have loved it being a little longer. Some additional fleshing out of Santino & Sabine’s beginnings along with more details about Santino would have been nice. IMO.

So much better than the first book! Deacon and Daryl are excellent MC’s and getting more glimpses into Santino and Sabine was especially wonderful. Plus, every visit with Sylvia, Sabine’s young daughter, is an absolute joy. I know the Humans Matter movement isn’t going to stop and they’re certainly still focused on getting Daryl but I think Deacon and his pack are in a better place now, emotionally and mentally. Now I want to read Santino’s story to see if the author can keep this momentum going.

I’d like to be able to say that this first novella in Fel Fern’s new series, ‘Devil Hills Wolves’, blew me away and was amazing. Unfortunately, it is way (WAY) too similar to her ‘Darkfall Mountain Pack’ series and I didn’t really find anything particularly unique about it. The worldbuilding is slightly different as there are humans, paranormals, and humans with special abilities. Obviously, the only ones tolerated by Humans Matter is pure humans and this government organization is too similar to ones I’ve seen from this author before. I liked the characters and I’ll admit to some serious curiosity about whether Daryl and Deacon are mates so I might read another in the series.... I’ll have to wait and see.

This is the 2nd book of Contract to Love series. We see want can happen when you have a little patience with someone that they can bloom. We see Rio open up after he is shown what happens in a happy pack. This was a very loving story that you must read today

This is the first book in the series. Tom is in arrange marriage that is not working out and trying to get out. When the PI he hires gives him proof to get out his marriage. Raul is attract to Tom will he try to connect with him. The story show that when you truly want something there is a way. Recommend this book

Great story, again missing or wrong words in spots, sometimes who was speaking was not who was speaking which was confusing and distracting .

I enjoyed this book and look forward to the rest of the series. I only gave this book a 3 because there were so many editing errors that took away for the story. Hopefully the next book will have fixed this problem.

This is a wonderful story about a omega that is trying to take back his life from being abuse. When Saz moves to a new town and trys to let lose. He ends up at Dev family bar. Dev is all Alpha and does not have time for a relationship while trying to get his family bar and brothers together. What happens when Omega has set his sit on his Alpha and will not take no for answer? With the threat hanging over head things take a wild twist Highly recommend this book

Loved this book. Each character had their own distinct personality. I loved Charity's strength (and the fact that London accepted it and let her show it), Ferus' loyalty but also his vulnerability after years of unrequited love, and finally London, who was strong and brave enough to recognize amd accept a bond with both Charity and Ferus immediately. There was no hesitation, he just went for it even though it would mean convincing both of them and cause problems with his family. It was so refreshing. Sigh.... I just loved this trio! My only issue: there was no MM aside from a brief kiss here or there. I thought that was disappointing b/c even though Londom and Ferus were lovers for yrs, London made it strictly about sex before Charity. Now that London was admitting his true, deeper, feelings for Ferus, I wanted the two men to have a scene acknowledging that new turn in the relationship. A love scene, something just for them or with Charity, but where the men were the focus. But all the love scenes were MFM. A strang choice by the author IMO and one that to didn't do complete justice to London/Ferus or the full dynamic of the trio. Still, this was not enough to for me to downgrade my rating as I still loved the story.

Really, really liked this story! I loved Max and Dom---the darkness in Max and the caring nature in Dom. Aubrey was good as well. She'd had a tough life but was strong and smart and willing to give herself up in place of her men. I've never read this author before and am very impressed. I especially liked the darker undertones in the story; it added a nice, somethat menacing edge. I was well on my way to giving it 5 stars but I was a bit disappointed in the way the threat to Aubrey and the entire city was resolved. The set up was sooo engrossing but then it was wrapped up in like, 2 scenes. Without giving any big plot points away it was too convenient to me that all of a sudden Max could hire a wizard and Aubrey somehow just knew what to do to trap the enemy. That pivotal moment was the catalyst that changed the trio's relationship, and because that was weak, it lessened the impact of Max, Dom and Aubrey finally coming together. It was....a little anticlimactic. Despite my issues near the end of the book, the author mostly redeemed herself with the crazy, kick ass cliffhanger ending (not involving this book's main characters). Wow, way to keep us on the hook for the next book!! Loved it. Anyway, this was my 1st book from Ms. Fern and I an eager to check out more!
