"A clever combination of romance and intrigue completes this poignant story. Descriptive imagery is used beautifully, giving the reader the feeling that she's inside the pages. Compelling secondary characters keep the plot moving at a brisk pace. A sensual, not-to-be-missed tale that leaves you yearning for more."
~ Lisa Kelly, Romantic Times Book Review
"The Sense of Honor is riddled with secrets, clues and finally, love. The beauty of this book is how love motivates nearly everyone. I especially enjoyed seeing Devlin's transformation from a bored rake to a man who was able to see through Christiana's eyes how important everyone at the abbey and village are, and to grow to love them as she does. Christiana's desperation to keep her secrets is so strong that you can feel it leap from the pages. Love, when it is finally revealed, is so beautifully written that I had tears in my eyes. The author is a master with words and at creating just the right scenes while leading the reader through a maze of secrets, lies, and clues until the reader reaches the long awaited conclusion. Ms. Bilsky has outdone herself with this story and I look forward to reading more books by this author when they are available."

"Ashley Kath-Bilsky has written an historical romance of the highest caliber. This reviewer was fesseled to the pages, fell in love with the hero and was cheering for the heroine all the way through. The plot is exciting and moves along at a good pace. The characters are multi-dimensional and the secondary characters bring life to the story. Sexual tension rages through this story and Ms. Kath-Bilsky gives her readers a breath-taking romance. The love scenes are sensual and very romantic. This reviewer was very pleased with how the author handled all the secrets. Sometimes it can be very frustrating for the reader when secrets keep tearing the main characters apart, but in this case, those secrets seem to bring them more together and both characters reacted very maturely when the secrets finally came to light. This reviewer is hoping that this very talented author will have another book out very soon."

"THE SENSE OF HONOR is aptly named as the heroine and hero are both driven by it. Ms. Kath-Bilsky skillfully weaves these two honor bound characters through a plot of subterfuge and intrigue to a blissfully romantic ending that will leave the reader sighing with satisfaction. The supporting characters are unique and well written which adds to the dimension of the story, while Ms. Kath-Bilsky's cunning use of dialog and description alone make THE SENSE OF HONOR a riveting read that must not be missed."

"Ashley Kath-Bilsky has done a wonderful job with THE SENSE OF HONOR. I loved this one and I'd love to see more. The banter between Devlin and Christiana is priceless. She's a headstrong woman who can match wits with the best of them. Devlin is great, and despite his titled position, he really does care. Sometimes he needs Christiana to put things in perspective, but eventually he comes around."

"Set in Kent, England during the Regency Period, Ashley Kath-Bilsky's debut novel, The Sense of Honor, is jam-packed full of intrigue and suspense not to mention scorching hot romance! Ashley has brought together an interesting and diverse cast of characters, all very true to life with depth of character and multi-faceted personalities. The heroine in this book, Christiana, is a resilient and strong-willed woman whose life was literally destroyed as a child. Yet she uses those trials to become strong and also exceptionally kind and loving. Ashley gives us great insights into this most fascinating character and the reader will find themselves cheering her on with every step she makes."
~ Shannon O'Toole, Between Your Sheets
"The hero and heroine are enjoyable and the supporting characters enrich the story. The plot was intriguing and I found I couldn't put the book down for hours on end! A very fast read from an author I hope to see more of in the near future. Well done!

Devlin tried to concentrate on anything but the woman in his arms or the intimacy of their situation. Unfortunately, his senses were too finely attuned in the shadows of the ancient nave. Of its own accord, his hand moved slowly to her waist. She wore a half corsetso much easier to removethe thought further inflamed his lust. As if burned by an iron poker, he removed his hand only to have it, quite by accident, brush beneath the swell of a full breast. He longed to capture its weight in his palm, but raised his hand instead to cup the delicate curve of her cheek.
He swallowed hard. Heaven help him, but he wanted to kiss her. Just one brief taste, he told himself. Just as he lowered his head, she turned away, preferring the cold touch of the stone column to the heat of his kiss or the touch of his hand.
Though disturbed more than he would admit by her rebuke, he admired her restraint. "You smell of soap and flowersand something else," he whispered hoarsely. "I cannot place it."
"Lemon," she responded. "It-it works best to remove soot and the smell of ash."
At once, the image of his housekeeper bathing her creamy skin with lemon juice assailed Devlin. What he wouldn't give to see such a sight, to watch her bathe before the amber glow of firelight in his bedchamber above stairs. He would approach her slowly, lift her from the bath and lay her down upon his bed, sipping the drops of moisture from her pale skin. Her feminine sighs would fuel his desire to fever pitch, yet his lovemaking would be excruciatingly slow. He would coax and seduce until she joined him in an erotic dance building in tempo and intensity causing them to soar together beyond the confines of all earthly restraint.
Devlin swore under his breath. He'd never been a man ruled by lust. Neither did he have affairs with unmarried women or servants of his household. It made no sense whatsoever that he should desire this perplexing, infuriating, impertinent servant with such intensity. I must gain control of myself and focus on the only reason for my being at Bellewyck Abbey. It certainly is not to dally with a servant, no matter how beautiful I might find her.
Abruptly walking away, his boots sounded a hasty tattoo until he was once again in the library. He slammed the heavy oak door, securing its iron latchmore to keep himself in than to prevent anyone else from entering. Seated behind the barrier of his desk, he tried to come to grips with the realization a war now waged between reason and a desire that challenged every bit of self-control he possessed.
