Travis Young isn’t rolling in money, but at least, he has a job. During lunch at work, he’s scrolling through social media. One particular posting catches his attention. He doesn’t think too much about his reply. Hence, he’s astonished when Walter Donahue sends him a direct message, offering to be his sugar daddy. Something that’s supposed to be a joke has spiraled out of control.

Travis agrees to meet up with Walter out of curiosity, but when the man makes him an offer he can’t refuse, he ends up getting a sugar daddy. Everything works out great until the two of them start developing romantic feelings for each other. It becomes even more complicated when they realize that they’re different from one another. Travis is indifferent and nonchalant while Walter is the insanely obsessed and intensely possessive type.

Will the two men succeed in working things out and building a beautiful relationship in the end?

Excerpt

Let me summarize your current situation. A few days ago, you and Walter had the most mind-blowing sex of your entire life. Ever. Multiple times. Since then, Walter has been treating you like the love of his life, but you’re not positive that he has romantic feelings for you because he hasn’t clarified the status of the relationship between the two of you. Is that it?

Travis was supposed to be completing his task at work, but he couldn’t concentrate because he was constantly distracted by thoughts about Walter. In times like this, he could only rely on Margaret. He trusted Margaret a lot. He believed that she would come up with a solution to his problem. He read through Margaret’s message for the third time, making sure that the two of them were on the same page. Then he started typing out the response.

Yes! Have I mentioned that Walter is the most amazing lover ever?

Yes. Thirty-seven times so far. Next time, spare me the details of how incredible Walter is sex-wise. I’m now scarred for life. If bleach for the brain existed, I would require a million gallons of it. Minimum. I love you, man, but I really don’t want to know everything that Walter has done to you with his hands, tongue, and dick. Yuck!

You insisted that I must tell you everything!

And I fucking regretted it. Anyway, back to your problem. Why don’t you just ask Walter about his feelings?

I can’t! I’m fucking terrified. What if I’d misunderstood his actions and words? That would be so goddamn mortifying for me!

Bro, you’re overreacting. Besides, based on everything that Walter has done for you, I think he genuinely likes you. A lot!

Really?

Yes! I can’t speak for everybody, but the men I’d been with ended up losing interest in me after we had sex. Either immediately or shortly afterward. You know that, too. I’d shared all of my stories with you.

Yeah, and I’m still fucking pissed off at those motherfuckers on your behalf. Like, what the fuck?

I know, right? You luck out with Walter. You said that the two of you cuddled after sex, and he held you so tightly until you almost suffocated. He even made you a huge breakfast the next day.

Every morning since that first time we had sex.

Stop bragging. Not cute.

Sorry.

No, you’re not. I’m sure you’re grinning like a fucking smug asshole right now.

That was true. Travis couldn’t deny it, but he was determined not to give Margaret the satisfaction of knowing that she was right.

No, I’m not.

Yes, you are, but whatever. What did Walter give you this morning?

Another bouquet of flowers, the largest box of my favorite brand of chocolates, and a card with a handwritten note, complimenting my beauty and reminding me that he misses me so much.

Fuck you, jerk! You’re one lucky son of a bitch, and I hate you so goddamn much! I also envy the fuck out of you. Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!

Travis chortled softly. Margaret wasn’t the only who felt that way. Many of the women in the office, or probably all of them, seemed like they had been overtaken by the green-eyed monsters when Travis received yet another delivery of gifts, courtesy of Walter, earlier that morning. That was his fourth morning in a row to get so many thoughtful presents from Walter. His male colleagues were mostly just curious, but they didn’t interrogate him the way the women did. Most of the women were quite subtle with their questions, but a few of them were blatantly asking certain things that they shouldn’t have. Travis answered some of them without providing any details while ignoring the rude ones.

I have four different flowers. I can give you a stalk or two from each bouquet. Just let me know.

Fuck you, you goddamn motherfucking bastard! I dislike, hate, detest, loathe, and abhor you, you fucking jerk!

Wow! Someone is hitting the thesaurus hard right now.

Travis laughed when Margaret sent him a picture, and in it, she looked furious while raising both of her middle fingers. He didn’t get the chance to reply because he noticed that Margaret was typing something else.

On a more serious note, I’m really happy for you, man. I think Walter truly has romantic feelings for you, but you need to ponder deeply about what to do next. Based on your stories about Walter, he sounds like a great and lovely man, but he’s too intense, aggressive, and possessive for my taste.
