Q: What is your writing day like?
A: I start work early and I carry my laptop with me at all times. My goal is 5000 words per week, and to meet this, I peck away at the keyboard every chance I get. On most days the words flow faster than I can type, but on occasion, it’s impossible for me to write anything. I try not to stress too much on those impossible days as it only makes things worse. At the end of each week I print what I’ve written, review, and make necessary revisions.
Q: What do you like to read?
A: Westerns, historical or contemporary, are my favorite. There’s just something about men who wear scuffed boots, hats and are not afraid to protect their women.
Q: Why do you prefer westerns?
A: I have always loved tales of the old west. I think that particular era is fascinating and there is so much history, which has helped to make us who we are today.
Q: Does family support help your writing?
A: Absolutely. I’m fortunate to have a network of family and friends who encourage me daily.
Q: Who are your favorite authors?
A: Heather Rainier, Leah Brooke, Sophie Oak, Reece Butler
Q: What was your first thought when you received the email from Siren?
A: I was in total shock. I check my email several times a day, and when it appeared, I was afraid to open it. After working up the courage to click the mouse, I read it several times before I was sure it was true.
Q: Where does your inspiration come from?
A: I’m happy to say that I’m married to a wonderful man, who encourages me to reach for the stars. He’s the biggest inspiration in my life, and allows me to be…me.
