I grabbed my bags and hopped out of the car. "Thanks for inviting me, Chloe, I had a good time."

"Wait a minute. Don't you want to try on our hard bought plunder?"

When I hesitated, she went on. "Let's go to my apartment, I want to talk with you some more."

By her apartment, she meant the luxurious detached guesthouse, where she sort of lived when she wasn't working out in the exercise room, in the kitchen getting something to eat or watching the big screen in the media room, all in the main house. "All right." Out of habit, I shifted all the bags into my left hand, while she put all her bags in her right hand. I snickered. "Just because she wore cargo pants, hiking boots and a green wife-beater shirt, doesn't mean she wasn't attractive."

"Ooh!" Chloe scrunched her nose. You didn't find her attractive, did you?"

"Her clothes, slicked back hair and makeup, no, but I felt if she tried, with different clothes and hairdo, she could be very attractive."

"I'll take your word for it on that one." Chloe set her bags down and pulled her key out of her purse. "Here we are."
