Lily is a girl stuck between a rock and a hard place. On the one hand, she doesn’t feel safe returning home to her bigoted parents. On the other, staying inside her dorms will almost ensure months of crippling social isolation as the world locks down in the face of the pandemic. She chooses to stay.
Flash forward several months. Lily’s online girlfriend decides to check up on her despite the lockdown and the distance between the two of them. Lily is dismissive, as even if the professional photographer could pull the strings needed to visit her and break lockdown, it could still be days, if not weeks, worth of driving.
When a photo of her dorm is sent to her private messages in a matter of hours, questions and worries begin to emerge. Who, or what, is her girlfriend “Alabaster,” and would she even accept Lily for who she is?
I pressed forward, as her lips met mine.
She was shocked at first, as I wrapped my arms around her, refusing to let go. Yet just as quickly she eased into it, her arms wrapped around me. She was warm. Her embrace was a comforting reassurance that when I was with her, I could be myself. I wouldn’t have to hide who I was, not anymore.
It was a good half a minute before we separated from each other, both of panting from forgetting to breath.
“Never had a girl I love take initiative before. Twice.” Scarlet whispered, a soft rosy hue on her cheeks.
“I --” I stuttered. I didn’t know why I was so forward. I didn’t feel this kind of burning passion with even another girl, yet I did with her. It wasn’t the booze either, because booze didn’t make me brave. Booze didn’t make my heart pound when my heart wasn’t in it. Yet when I tried to say it, instead I was met with my own silence. It was too much to put into mere words.
“I thought you might like the change of pace.” I finally settled on something corny as she rubbed her forehead against mine. I could feel her skin against mine, her agile fingers scurried underneath my shirt, and down my bra. She was so careful, so gentle that I barely noticed, yet was firm enough that there was no escaping her now.
“I do, Lily. Here I thought I was the tease, and you turn right around and steal my first kiss you rascal.”
I nodded, feeling her hands unclasp my bra.
“All the tail rubbing really did the trick, didn’t it?” I flashed a grin as I felt her hands sensually running down my back.
“Yeah, we’ll see about that.” She flashed a sharper grin back as I felt her hands slide right underneath my pants. I might’ve made the best mistake in my life.
