Dexter Herrera works multiple jobs to make ends meet. Through his work, he gets to know three amazing men: Edward Fuentes, Heath Ruiz, and Ezequiel Hayes. He didn’t intentionally set out to date all three of them, but things turn out that way. He plans to make a final choice after going out on a few dates with each man, but he ends up falling in love with all of them.
Initially things progress smoothly. However, Dexter’s boyfriends’ past may test the strength of their relationship. Unlike Dexter, who has a happy family, Edward is the abandoned son of a future supreme court justice, Heath is the illegitimate son of a billionaire, and Ezequiel’s family refuses to have anything to do with him after coming out. The media uncovers their secret because of Edward’s parent. Things get worse from that point onward.
Will the four men succeed in resolving the issues and get their happy ending?
“Shit! What are the two of you doing here?”
Edward chuckled. “Hello, Ezequiel. It’s common courtesy to greet an acquaintance instead of cursing at them when you first meet them.”
Ezequiel snorted. “You’re my rival in love so fuck off!”
“What about me?” Heath inquired.
“Same as Edward.”
Ezequiel thought that would piss off Edward and Heath. He was wrong. Those two jerks decided to occupy the empty spots on either side of him, and that was annoying.
“My date with Dexter last night was amazing,” Heath said, and he looked so sickeningly overjoyed.
Ezequiel did his best to suppress his anger and jealousy. “I thought Edward would go out on a date with Dexter first.”
“I had a business emergency,” Edward explained.
“Because of that, I got to take Dexter out to dinner at a restaurant,” Heath added. “The two of us strolled around the neighborhood afterward, and we held hands.”
Ezequiel clenched his fists. He wished he had the foresight to grab a glass of champagne earlier so he at least had something to do instead of simply resisting the temptation to scowl at Heath and Edward. He was also doing his best not to let the anger get the best of him because he really wanted to beat the crap out of Edward and Heath.
“Dexter hugged me on our first date,” Ezequiel bragged, and he was elated upon noticing the irritation and envy that were clearly displayed on Heath’s and Edward’s faces. “He also gave me a peck on the lips.”
“I also got one on the lips at the end of the date when I dropped Dexter off at home,” Heath retorted with a smug smile.
Edward seemed really angry now. “I have a date with Dexter tonight. I’ll make sure that he has the best date ever.”
Ezequiel smirked. “Good luck with that! You can’t beat mine.”
“Or mine,” Heath interjected.
Edward glared at Heath and Ezequiel. “Challenge accepted.”
After that, the three of them were quiet. Ezequiel could almost feel the rising tension between them, but he didn’t want to make a scene so he chose to keep calm and shut his mouth. After a few minutes, he felt much more in control of his emotions.
“Who invited you to this luncheon?” Ezequiel asked, desperately needing to change the topic of conversation before the uncomfortable situation could escalate much further.
“Kenneth,” Heath and Edward answered almost simultaneously.
Ezequiel frowned at the two men in astonishment. “Why have I never seen either of you when I was hanging out with Kenneth?”
“Because I rarely did,” Edward replied. “Most of the time, we called or sent text messages.”
“Same,” Heath added. “Kenneth and I have been acquainted with each other for years, though. Almost six years now.”
“Four years for me,” Edward said.
“Damn!” Ezequiel exclaimed. “I’ve only been friends with Kenneth for slightly over a year.”
He shouldn’t have been that surprised that Edward and Heath were friends with Kenneth. After all, Kenneth was the super friendly sort. He was one of those weird wealthy bastards who were kind most of the time. At the very least, he wasn’t as snobbish as the other rich folks. Ezequiel was about to change the topic of conversation when he realized that Edward was staring at something or someone in the distance. He glanced at whatever Edward was looking at. It was Cynthia Roswell. Before Ezequiel could ask about Edward’s relationship with Cynthia, Heath beat him to it. Heath must have also caught on that Edward was interested in Cynthia.
“I don’t know her at all.”
Edward didn’t elaborate any further. Under normal circumstances, Ezequiel would have taken that response at face value and moved on. However, the brief flash of something like hurt and anger that crossed Edward’s face was intriguing to Ezequiel. There must be some kind of history between Edward and Cynthia. Moments later, Ezequiel was equally curious when he discovered that Heath appeared to be gazing in the direction of Nathaniel and Kieran Chapman a little too long. Nathaniel and Kieran were the sons of the late Benjamin Chapman, a self-made billionaire who had a net worth of more than four hundred billion dollars when he died. The two brothers inherited and split everything fifty-fifty.
Ezequiel quietly wondered why Heath was looking so intently at Kieran and Nathaniel. It couldn’t be envy. Ezequiel had done his research on both of his rivals. Heath’s net worth was more than five hundred billion dollars while Edward had more than six hundred million dollars to his name. Ezequiel had less money than them, but he was taller and more muscular. At the very least, he won in some aspects.
