STORY EXCERPT
Cassius stopped checking the papers and looked over at Martin. “Can you come here?”
Without much will to, Martin walked up to him. “Yes?”
“Aren’t you a bit too combative? Alex didn’t tell me about this,” Cassius said with furrowed brows.
Martin went still. Had Cassius’s blue eyes flickered red or was it just his imagination? He snapped out of it. “What?” Martin asked, and it happened again. His eyes widened. “Is something…wrong with your eyes?”
“Alex didn’t tell you,” Cassius uttered. He clenched his jaw. “That amoeba knew this would happen. Always the same games.”
As soon as Cassius stood, Martin stepped back. At that moment, his mind numbed. What he’d seen was real.
Cassius made a call, and it went through immediately. “Alex, you didn’t tell me—”
Martin watched in disbelief while Cassius listened to the laugh coming from the other end.
“Don’t play with me like this, Alex. Why would you…?” Cassius scowled when he was interrupted again. “What do you mean Ellwood misses his friend? If you wanted him to go there to see Ellwood, you could’ve—Can I talk or not? Of course I’m always serious. Do you think this is funny? I just revealed who I am and now I can’t make excuses. The human is scared out of his mind right now.”
What did that mean? Martin looked down at his own shaky hands, and he was in a daze, almost out of it.
“Alex, we’re talking face-to-face after I’m done here. I haven’t seen you in over a decade, but I still know where you live,” Cassius said firmly. He glanced down at Martin. “No. Why should I bring him with me?”
Martin looked around. This was all real, right? And Zack wanted to see him? What had Zack gotten himself into?
Cassius ended his call. “You’re coming with me to Alex’s house after work today.”
“What?” Martin uttered, staring up at him.
“It’s not what, it’s excuse me. It was hard enough dealing with Alex.” Cassius sat at his desk with a deep grumble. “I knew I shouldn’t have come here.”
Martin stood there, not knowing what to say or do.
“Morning,” Gwen blurted out, rushing in. She stopped in her tracks once she saw Cassius. “Mr. Maxen?”
“I will be working here for the time being. It would be good if you weren’t late again, Ms. Stephens,” Cassius said, focused on his paperwork.
Gwen switched her attention to Martin. “Did something happen? You don’t look too good, Martin.”
He walked past Gwen. “It’s nothing. We’re going to open in ten minutes, so I’ll switch the registers on.” Shaking away the shock was difficult. He glanced at the glass door, wanting to run. But he had a job to do. He fired up the machines and waited. The backroom was silent, save for the flipping of paper and Gwen walking about.
From one second to the other, Gwen popped up. “Martin, I’m doing inventory.”
“Sure. I should do the same before we open,” he mumbled, but he didn’t want to go back in. She nodded and went to her computer. Martin took a deep, quiet breath, resting his hands on the counter.
Cassius emerged from the backroom. “Aren’t you going to do inventory?”
Martin almost jumped, yet kept his head down. “I will.”
After a moment of silence, Cassius spoke again. “Why are you just standing there?”
“I…” Martin clenched his hands. “I can’t move.”
Cassius went silent for a few more seconds. “Why not?”
This was something he knew Zack would’ve been able to handle, especially if he still worked here, but he couldn’t. He got scared easily. “I’m sorry, but you scare me,” he said quietly. He stiffened once Cassius walked up to him. Martin stepped away, not looking up.
“For someone who’s afraid, you speak your mind a bit too much,” Cassius said.
“I got used to it with Zack. I’ll stop,” Martin mumbled.
Cassius bent at the waist to look at him. “I’m a demon. So is Alex. Did you know your friend is dating a demon?” he said, and Martin froze in place, his eyes widened. “Don’t worry. We’re not like the demons in the movies. We don’t come from hell or anything like that. You’re not going to start screaming, are you?”
ADULT EXCERPT
Martin nodded and closed his eyes. “I’m going to sleep a bit longer, then.” But Cassius held his jaw and moved his face up. Right when Martin opened his eyes, Cassius leaned closer. Martin was too dumbfounded to react immediately.
“How about we do it?” Cassius asked.
“Do what? Why?” Martin uttered, his eyes widening.
Cassius moved onto him underneath the covers. “Just because. Do we have something else to do?”
Why was Cassius like this all of a sudden? Or was it sudden? Martin glanced over at the door. “What are you thinking?”
“Do you like foreplay?” Cassius asked, and Martin nodded in confusion.
Martin’s heart raced once Cassius kissed the curve of his neck, before pressing kisses up to his jaw. “There are…people in this house,” Martin mumbled. He didn’t mind it. Although he was afraid of Cassius’s intimidating looks and his demeanor, Cassius was still very attractive.
“I’ll create a barrier, then. It’s done.” Cassius pushed Martin’s hoodie off of him and dropped it off the bed.
Was that really the problem? Martin stared at Cassius reaching down and removing his sweatpants for him. “I think you’re too tall for me.”
Cassius scoffed. “Should that matter right now?” He pulled at Martin’s boxer briefs and left them halfway around Martin’s thighs. He pressed Martin’s bent legs up his strong torso. “Aren’t you curious about demons?”
Martin’s heart was beating so hard that he could hear it reverberate in his ears. He noticed Cassius already had a condom on, so he peered up at Cassius. They were going for it. He jolted at the feeling of something wet and hard pressing against his hole. “Is foreplay done?” he asked quietly. The adrenaline was already making him hard.
“You can have it as much as you want. I’m still a gentleman,” Cassius answered as he pushed his cock further in. He nuzzled the other side of Martin’s neck. “The bodily fluids demons have make things easier for these occasions.”
How come he didn’t feel any discomfort? “Wait, it’s too big. You’re too big,” Martin said, almost having a hard time breathing. He took in short breaths. Cassius had to be fully in. He was already filled to the brim.
“Am I too deep?” Cassius asked, and Martin nodded immediately. He began to move his hips back and forth, his breath straining. “This should be enough.”
Martin gripped the pillow underneath his head as pleasure jolted throughout his body with each thrust. Cassius’s hips didn’t touch him. The way Cassius’s dick rubbed him all over inside was overwhelming. He shivered at the feeling of Cassius sliding his hand up his left side. An orgasm was already on its way. Martin’s breaths mixed in with his moans.
Picking up the pace, which made Martin moan louder, Cassius clenched his jaw. “No one can hear us. Relax.”
