After devastating cataclysm destroys the much of the Earth's population in the year 2012, Devlyn Marinos is the only person to survive. She escapes her small island home, commandeers a small boat and sails over stormy seas to Athens where all the boats are toppled over in the water and she must fight for her life to climb to higher ground before the next cataclysm takes her life. She eventually finds solace in the hills above Athens in the sacred ground of Delphi, hoping to find other survivors. There she meets Nelek, a reptilian from another world who captivates her heart and soul and creeps into her dream state, sending her into erotic visions and situations. Will their connection ultimately repopulate the Earth or destroy hope for any future?
Devlyn's heart seized up, her pulse quickened. Surely not. This could not be what she thought it was…no. Her father had no idea what he was rambling about when he spoke of the evil creatures from space who could impregnate any species simply by willing it to happen. She could not be pregnant. This was ludicrous. Impossible.
The bump expanded into the size of one of the larger melons her family enjoyed in the summers and as it did, Devlyn knew her worst nightmare had become reality. The evil one, Nelek was deflowering her with his mind, and now had planted his seed in her. If she wasn't careful to control her erotic thoughts of him, she felt certain he would find her. He would use his mind to seek her out, discover her hiding place and take her body in person next time.
As terrorizing as that thought seemed, and while his unborn child wrestled within her, Devlyn realized she was more afraid of how much she wanted him than of him finding her. Part of her wanted to run and hide, but in the deepest recesses of her heart, she knew if he came to her now, she would take him inside her again. She would give him whatever he wanted—as many children as she could possibly bear. She hated herself for that thought. She wanted to be strong. She couldn't. The thought of that man melted her and she wanted him now.
Dangerous, but tempting, she closed her eyes, imagined him in her mind. Imagined him coming to her again, only this time, while she lay on the canopy bed, arms and legs already spread wide in anticipation, she had a new feature of her body as her bulge continued to grow.
Nelek tore open the canopy and stood before her in all his glory, smiling at the new discovery of their unborn child. "You look spectacular."
"I don't understand this, but I want you."
He leaned into her, took her again, only this time, with seeming newfound tenderness and ease, apparently careful not to disturb their baby. "I want hundreds of children with you."
Devlyn was not even sure she was capable of bearing so many, but at the moment, all she could do was agree. "I will give them gladly."
He ran his hand over the unborn, smiled. "Our first is a girl. You will name her Meera. She is important and will be mother to the future rulers of earth."
Devlyn laughed. "What are you talking about, love?" She never expressed love to anyone except her parents, but she loved him, wanted him more than words could express.
"You are going to rule this place, Devlyn, and when you do, our children will rebuild the society." He reached around to the small of her back, lifting her so he could sink deeper, stroke harder, yet always with tender care.
She moaned out her pleasure. "Oh, Nelek, where are you? Why aren't you with me? How is this possible?"
"It is our way." He pulled himself out in preparation for another journey into her inner recesses.
She gasped while he sank into her, she felt her unborn child kicking at the same time. The bliss the combined sensations created caused her to release in ecstatic contentment like none she had known before.
Nelek cupped her belly, licking his way up to her growing breasts. He tasted her, cupped her in his hands, and rolled to his side. "You are the most beautiful woman in the universe. Never will I want another after you."
Devlyn smiled as she looked up into his loving eyes, then she opened her eyes. She was all alone again, only now, the unborn child appeared nearly ready to arrive.
Fear filled in the space where her lust had been only moments before. Where was she? How would she possibly be able to give birth out here alone and feed and tend for a newborn amidst all this chaos and turmoil? She needed a miracle, fast.
