We had a nice dinner, the two of us. I still wasn't great at small talk and hadn't become magically so with Casey, but the food was good, he was great to look at, and he made me feel at ease for the most part.

He drove me home with us listening to the radio, some rock station that played stuff I hadn't really heard before, but Casey seemed to know all the songs and he sang along to them in a very off-key voice. I laughed at him, but he didn't seem to mind, so I didn't either.

When we got to my apartment complex, he parked in a visitor spot just a few spaces away from my apartment and got out when I did which began to make me nervous. I'd reached the stage in the date where I guess maybe I was supposed to invite him in or something and I didn't think I was ready for that something.

"Hey," he said just as we reached the door of my apartment. He smiled when I turned to look at him. "It's okay. No need to freak. I'm not going to ask to come in."

"You ... you aren't?"

Casey shook his head. "Be honest with me, Seth. Have you ever been with anyone?"

He asked softly, and really the entryway of my tiny apartment was pretty private, but I found myself turning red, just the same. I shook my head, unable to say the words out loud for whatever reason.

His smile was as sweet as could be. "I thought so. I'm not going to push you into anything, Seth. We'll take this at whatever pace you want."

"This?"

"Uh-huh." He reached out and rubbed his thumb over my bottom lip. "I would like to kiss you goodnight if you'll let me though."

I felt unbelievably foolish, but totally excited too. I nodded and closed my eyes, just like they do in the movies, and waited. The brush of his lips over mine sent goose bumps across my arms and my breath caught in my throat. I protested when I thought he was moving away all too soon, but then his lips pressed mine harder, and I tilted my head, slanting my mouth open just enough so that he could slip his tongue inside if he wanted. I hoped he wanted.

And he did. His tongue slipped inside my mouth, sliding over mine. He tasted of iced tea and the mud pie we had shared for dessert, and I fisted his shirt, clutching him closer to me as he deepened the kiss. Some first kisses are awkward I guess, sloppy and unsatisfying, but this one…rockets went off in my head, my cock rose, getting uncomfortable hard in my jeans, and I wanted it to go on forever.

Yes!

Casey broke the kiss, a bemused look on his gorgeous face, and he cupped my chin, and kissed me hard again before stepping back.

"I'm going now, Seth."

I nodded, feeling lightheaded and more hopeful than ... ever.

"Thanks for dinner," I remembered to say. He'd paid for it. Like a real date.

"My pleasure." Casey gave me his heart stopping smile. "I'll see you tomorrow."

I opened my apartment door and he waited until I got inside before he turned and walked down the path to his car.
