Summer is a time for relaxing and escaping the doldrums of life. It also is a time when a hot and steamy romance can unexpectedly alter a man’s life trajectory. Such is the case for Taylor Robinson, a sexually stifled underling at a major law firm, and Liam Dolan, an athletic trainer for a university football team. When they are left alone after dinner, an innocent massage escalates into a full-blown tryst as the two enhance supper with additional flavors atop the dinner table.

As the days pass, Taylor and Liam continue their throes of seduction and passion, taking things to the next level with full-throttle intensity. Realizing they are finding themselves physically and emotionally attracted to each other, they navigate their feelings of desiring something more than just the mind-blowing sex they enjoy. As they enhance their desires, will Taylor ever find the courage to escape his own thinking to find a sauce he can savor for a lifetime?

My heart swooned ... when our eyes connected through the crack of the slightly opened door. I reached into my bathrobe and ...

“Who’s on the computer?” Liam asked, wiping his hands on the back of his jeans upon returning to the living room.

“Who? In the other room?” Amy asked, placing their dinner on the dining room table. “That’s Taylor.”

“He doesn’t mind me being here?” Liam asked.

Amy smiled and shook her head.

I noticed Amy gave him my spot at the dinner table. She poured the wine, filling his glass half full. From where I was sitting, all I could see was the stud taking a sip before turning around. Our eyes met once more. Yes, I’m checking you out, I thought. I flashed a sheepish grin and pretended to tap the door shut.

I chuckled.

Still pretending to focus on my monitor, I noticed Liam was, once again, peering over his shoulder in my direction. Our gazes connected for the third time, and I nodded. It was only for a brief second, but I swore my roommate’s cousin also had the same grin across his face. Chicken parmesan may have been served on my dinner table, yet it was my eyes devouring some delicious eye candy.

They continued eating while I attempted to finish the report my boss had insisted that he wanted on his desk tomorrow morning. I tried to block out the conversation from the other room. To be honest, I found it very difficult to concentrate with that gorgeous piece of meat just a few feet from my bedroom.

Twenty minutes later, Amy knocked on my door and sighed. “Taylor, this new program I’d spent all day working on was corrupted. An encrypted virus escaped the firewall and has planted itself across the entire network.”

“How serious?”

“Very. Blue screens of death are popping up all over campus. I’m going to be there for most of the night. I hope you don’t mind, but Liam’s going to chill here for a bit.”

“Of course, I don’t mind if Liam stays for a bit.” I paused for a second then added, “I’m sorry to hear about the program.” Really, I was. I knew how seriously Amy took her job in the cybersecurity office of the local college. I averted my eyes from the computer and gave her a polite nod. A few seconds later, the door slammed behind her. Now, it was just Liam and me, alone. I finished the last sentence of the brief, completely oblivious to Liam’s knock on the door.

“Hi,” he said, cracking the door open even wider. “What’cha working on?”

There he was. Liam Dolan: blond, good-looking, solid jaw, and chiseled body.
