Tom attempts to kill the powerful Fire mage Ruthen, lord of the island—but the Fire mage is stronger than Tom anticipated, and in his single-minded attempt at revenge, he runs the risk of losing something close to him. With Nathan gravely injured, Tom flees, and finds help from an unlikely source.
“Got a sword, I see?” Nathan’s laugh made him turn. The Air mage carried a satchel of something he had presumably purchased, along with a tray of steaming food.
“C’mon, let’s eat this downstairs before it gets cold. It’s Eohip meat—tender and fresh, too.”
Tom followed, his mouth watering at the scent. He had never eaten red meat, not even on the residence ship as a child.
Nathan set out the spread on one of the tables in the main room of the house. No one, not even the landing house owner, shared the room with them. The meat was speared on wooden sticks, and they exploded with hot pops of grease in Tom’s mouth.
“Good, right?” Nathan asked.
They ate quickly, until Nathan licked the grease off of one of the small wooden skewers in a way that had Tom shifting in his chair. Nathan met his eyes, grinning as the skewer clattered to his plate.
“Been a while, right? Stressful day.” He licked his lips.
Tom nodded. “Are you—do you want to?”
Nathan grinned. “The food wasn’t the only thing I got. I have something so that we can really fuck. Ever fucked on land?”
Tom swallowed hard, his member stiffening at Nathan’s crude words. “You know I haven’t.”
“They say Eohip meat is an aphrodisiac. I see you’re feeling it.” Nathan’s gaze dropped as he leaned back and stroked himself through his white pants. “I am, too.”
Tom wasn’t sure he believed him about the meat, but arousal was blocking out logical thought as Nathan’s hand outlined the shape of his thick cock. “Let’s go upstairs, then.”
“Eager?” Nathan said with a laugh. He motioned with a wave to the stairs. “Lead the way.”
As soon as they entered the room, Nathan slammed the door behind them, and pinned Tom against the wall, his hands almost squeezing Tom’s arms. “Fuck, I want you,” he growled, already thrusting against him. “All day, damnit.”
