Little Red Riding Hood is all grown up. And the wolf doesn’t scare her at all.
Rosalind is an outcast in her own town. Known as Ruby for the birthmark on her neck, it is believed she was touched by death during birth. But she doesn’t care. She’s led a happy life with the support and tutelage of the village wise woman and the loving attention of her stepbrother, Rafe.
Of course, now that she’s older, she is secretly and passionately drawn to Rafe in a not so sisterly way. And Rafe has secrets of his own.
For Rafe, the full moon means three nights as a wolf, a freedom and form he loves. However, as he accepts his desire to devour Ruby when he’s in his human form, he leaves to protect them both.
Now he’s back, and not only does he intend to change his relationship with Ruby, but a hunter is following him. Ruby and Rafe have to put an end to the threat that wants them both dead before they can live their happy ending.
One warm day she discovered she’d left home without a canteen of water. Thirsty, she listened for the river that ran through the woods before it came into the town. She oriented herself and then started walking in the direction she knew it to be. Humming, lost in thought, she almost didn’t see Rafe until she’d stepped into the clearing.
And when she did see him, she was glad he hadn’t heard or seen her.
Because he was completely naked.
He stood at the water’s edge, stretched and then walked into the river, waiting until it was knee deep before he dove under. He swam back and forth several times, diving under, then floating on top, clearly enjoying his freedom and the cool water. Ruby was transfixed.
He was gorgeous.
Everything about him from the muscles in his stomach, to the strength of his arms and length of his legs demanded she look. And the part of him that Grandma had told her was known as his manhood or member drew her eyes while giving her new and quite pleasurable sensations.
Part of her knew she should turn away and give him his privacy. Or step into the shadows then make a noise so he became aware someone was nearby.
But she couldn’t do it. She didn’t want to.
Her stomach was turning, her heart pounding and there was a sensation between her legs that was completely new and wondrous. Even reminding herself he was family didn’t help. When he finished his swim, he lay on the grass and closed his eyes. Ruby continued to look her fill at the attractive man her stepbrother had become.
