Taylor Ariza has landed the job of his dreams as senior editor at Braxton Publishing Company. Within the first week on the job, he gets invited to the wedding of one of the sons of Taylor’s new employer. At the reception he meets a young man named Alex with the face of an angel and the vocabulary of a seasoned sailor. Taylor can overlook the language, but not the way the Braxton family treats Alex. After spending one glorious night together, Alex is the one Taylor wants to spend the rest of his life with.

Designer Alex Moore has always been the black sheep of his family because he’s loud, proud, and unapologetically gay. He doesn’t normally sleep around on a first date, but Taylor is hard to resist. Not only is he tall, dark, and handsome, but also charming, funny, and once Taylor finds out who Alex really is, he doesn’t back away, as Alex thought he might. Instead, he goes out of his way to prove to Alex none of that is important to him.

With the holidays rapidly approaching, Taylor is looking for a gift to sweep Alex off his feet, and he finds the perfect present in a Manhattan jewelry store. Will Alex accept the gift and make him the happiest guy on earth?

“What do you mean you’ve broken up with John?” Ki-Tae Quon asked Alex.

“He was cheating on me again,” Alex answered.

“With who?”

“Some sleeze he met on the street.”

“A prostitute?” Ki-Tae asked.

Alex shrugged. “I’m so glad I’ve recently been tested.”

“No offense, but you’re better off without him,” Ki-Tae said.

Alex frowned. “What’s wrong with me? Why aren’t I enough?”

“There’s nothing wrong with you. He’s just a creep.” Ki-Tae finished his drink. “Come on, let’s dance.”

“Why the hell not?” Alex said. The disc jockey was spinning a mixed variety of music to include K-Pop which was the current rage. He rose and followed his American-born South Korean friend to the dance floor. Dancing always helped him forget about his troubles.

A lot of their friends were already dancing, including his assistant Trevor Yates and his boyfriend model, Reed Carter. Alex waved to them He’d been so busy lately with getting Christmas promotions together that he hadn’t have time to hang out in clubs. Trevor and Reed came over to join them once he and Ki-Tae returned to their seats.

“Hey fellows,” Trevor said as he sat down.

“Hey,” both Alex and Ki-Tae said.

“How was the wedding?” Reed asked.

“It went off without a hitch,” Alex answered.

“Alex and John have broken up,” Ki-Tae announced.

Alex rolled his eyes at his good friend.

“What?” Trevor asked surprised. “Is it true, Alex? Did the two of you have a fight at the wedding.”

His assistant was not only blond and gorgeous, but he was also over-protective of him.

“Bastard never even showed up at the wedding,” Alex answered. “I found out he was cheating on me, again.”

“Is he crazy?” Reed asked.

“My answer would be yes,” Alex said.

“Maybe you weren’t letting him hit that enough,” Ki-Tae said. You know how tops are.”

“How are we?” Reed asked

“Overly-sexual,” Ki-Tae answered.

Trevor chuckled. “I have no problem with that. I like having sex with Reed, and as much as possible.”

Ki-Tae and Alex chuckled.

Reed blushed so much his ears turned red.

“Is it true, Reed? Does Trevor let you rock the boat often?” Alex asked. He liked teasing the gorgeous model. He and Reed had been friends since elementary school and was currently the country’s number one model.

“He is insatiable,” Reed answered.

Trevor nodded in agreement.

Both Ki-Tae and Alex laughed at their goofy friends. Then Alex sighed. “You two are so lucky. I had to make an appointment if I wanted John to spend some bed time with me.”

Reed looked at him like he didn’t believe him. “With that ass of yours? You ought to be glad it’s over. I told you not to date a politician. You’re never going to be a first lady.”

Trevor and Ki-Tae agreed with him.

Alex knew they spoke the truth. He’d been dating John for the last five years without a mention of getting married. In fact, Alex bet John’s family still didn’t know he was gay.

Some more of their friends showed up. He also spotted Frank Austin and his boyfriend Edmund King.

“Ooh, who is that with them?” Ki-Tae asked as his gaze landed on the same guy Alex was checking out.

“His name is Taylor and he’s a publishing editor.”

“You know him?” Ki-Tae asked. “He’s scrumptious.”

Taylor was so glad Ki-Tae’s boyfriend would be joining them shortly. “The views are much better close up. He has these sexy light brown eyes and, girl, talk about muscles.”

The gang stared at him, especially Ki-Tae. “You like him.”

“I don’t really know him. I just met him.”

“He knows you’re gay?” Trevor asked.

“Oh yeah, considering that this is a gay club. I think I owe him a lap dance.”

Everyone stared at him. “Spill,” Reed said.

“I was out in the gardens at the reception cursing out John good and proper and had told him that I was going to screw the first man I saw.”

Trevor gasped. “And he was the one?”

Alex nodded. “Not only was he the one, but he had accidently overheard my conversation and got caught in the crossfire.”

“What did he say?” Ki-Tae asked.

“Something about I didn’t expect. He was okay with the idea.”

“What?” Ki-Tae asked giggling. The rest of the fellows looked positively shocked.

“Did you?” Trevor asked.

Alex shook his head. “Ira came out and rescued him. In fact, I learned that Taylor was Ira’s college roommate.”

“What?” Reed asked. “Ira’s gay?”

“No,” Alex answered.

“I didn’t think so,” Reed said. When they were young, Reed had this gigantic crush on Ira.

The disc jockey put on “Love Me Like” by Omega X, and almost every young person who listened to K-Pop was on the floor dancing, including them.
