A continuing story, albeit a stand alone book, that is a fun read about a hidden paranormal community and a young woman whose desire to extend her business brings her back into the lives of two brothers who have been the objects of her secret crush for years--ever since junior high school. It is a book that has more of the sense that this lady really doesn't think she has what it takes to attract two handsome shifters, especially two guys who seem immune to her. Yet there is that continuing strand of stress and mystery surrounding NormCorp and in this story that not-so-nice-guy running this outfit is father to the heroine's best friend. There are some surprises in this tale as well as some family stresses, some old prejudices that need addressing, and a community catastrophe that threatens everyone's future. A fun read--very entertaining, a good massage for the libido, and another visit with a community that is filled with more than its share of unique and interesting characters. Really well written with a very good use of language (that's not always the case, unfortunately). It's a short novel that really needs to be enjoyed by everyone who likes the paranormal genre.

The families of Lusty, Texas are warm and interesting, edgy and personable, strong and gutsy, and the kind of people I would have liked to know in real life. Caring deeply for one another has gotten them all through some difficult life experiences, and this latest tale about three men who have almost given up finding their "one" is a tale filled with hot loving, warm acceptance of one another's humanness, and another look into a "clan" who have come to recognize that love comes in all dimensions and relational configurations. I love this series and think this latest story carries on in the same fine writing tradition that marks all of Ms Covington's work. Don't miss this one!!

As series go, this one is quite accomplished in that the writer(s) have managed to maintain consistency in the quality of the writing, attention to detail, keep the reader in touch with the past characters that make cameo appearances, and the intensity of each new episode. This particular story is about hurting and damaged people, as the heroine has been deeply wounded and abused by past lovers, some of whom have taken advantage of her insecurities in order to bolster their own inadequacies. Now she is facing two men who are willing to be patient with her, to allow her to find her own stride in the relationship, and to become the woman they perceive is buried underneath all the hurt and fear. It is a warm and wonderful love story and in addition, the tale keeps the reader looking forward to the redemption and renewal of life's joys for the head of security at the DRMC. Those who have become fans of this series as have I will find this latest story lots of fun and a truly satisfying erotic reading experience. Not to be missed!

Sweet Dreams is a bit different than some of Jenny's other stories, but without fail she manages to inject overwhelming sexual tension and erotic scenes within stories that captivate the mind and entertain fully. She is one of my favorite authors and I still await more in this series as well as continuations of some of her other series. This book is a skillful blend of the colorful cowboy and a beautiful and erotic fairy story--creative and innovative and a marvelous example of Ms Penn's ability to craft a story that will keep you glued to the chair. Such a good read and one true romance lovers shouldn't miss.

A hot and erotic read by an author who knows how to pull off a great story without fail. It is the third in this series, with all the books being written by different authors, yet each fits in well with the others. I still struggle with the demands of parents who are so controlling of their daughters' lives, just to get grandchildren. But the idea works well as the basis for these novels. Each of these women are strong and capable and building their careers. I would have liked them to tell Mom and Dad "where to go" but then, that's me. Anyway, a really terrific read and one that fans of this author will enjoy. The two previous novels are a delight as well.

Jan Bowles manages to write the kind of books I invariably enjoy--realistic characters, good story content, and written with obvious skill and understanding of how to tell a really good story. It is also a novella that grabs the reader's emotions as two people--lost souls, really--who again find each other after 14 years begin again as individuals who met a need in each other's lives early on, and now they once again seem to fit as only soul mates can. I am always drawn to veterans whose hearts and emotions have been so scarred and numbed by the horrors of war and in this story the hero is a man whose hurts and losses run deep. Zoe discovers the safety and security that comes with submission and while the BDSM content is definitely a part of this story, it fits with who Hunter is and with Zoe's deep need to be cared for. Just a fantastic read and one that will continue to entertain with repeated readings.

These two firefighters are definitely great guys, as Alpha as they come, and yet they are sensitive and caring in an authentic and loving way. I always enjoy stories where the men involved are patient with a woman who has had a tough history, and these two are definitely in that category. This story will touch both the mind and heart, will entertain and keep the reader's interest. Third in a series, it is a find read and one that I am pleased to have found.

As a continuation of the "Le Club" series I enjoyed revisiting characters who have walked through the preceding episodes. However, I was a bit disappointed in that there really was very little BDSM action and the relationship between the main characters seemed very tentative at times. I recognize that such was a part of the plot, but wanted to really wap Trent up side the head at times. Talk about resisting commitment, but then that is at the core of the relationship for both Paula and Trent. This author has given us some very good stories and this one is entertaining. Just didn't think it was quite as edgy as the preceding novellas.

Couched in the setting of a BDSM beginner's conference, this romantic and erotic tale is about two people who find it difficult to connect, to communicate effectively, and both of whom aren't as good as one would think in perceiving their true feelings for one another. The attraction is there, but I found Ben just a bit on the arrogant side--doms do that, don't they--and I felt for Kat and her sense that she would never be good enough for the dom she wanted. Yet it is still a hot story as well as an in-depth look into the beginnings of what the D/s relationship can be.

This is definitely different from many BDSM stories and involves characters who are not only seeking to live in this lifestyle but are seeking insight about their own needs and how they can fulfill them in particular relationship configurations. It is sort of an up and down story and there were times I didn't think these two would ever find a way to work things out. But the author keeps the reader moving forward in the story and finally rewards the reader with a very satisfying ending. A very entertaining read.

I have come to love Allyson Young's books and this is not exception. However, it is not a fun-in-the-sun kind of read but is filled with anxiety and pain, disappointment and hurt. Yet somehow these characters have sufficient strength that they continue to seek out settings and individuals to assist them in meeting their own personal needs. A beautifully written book and one that will keep the reader engaged mentally and emotionally from start to finish.

I've been waiting for this third book in a really hot series of stories and am delighted to finally have the fun of reading it. Written by one of my favorite authors, its characters leap off the page and the hot loving sizzles. It continues the stories of the Service Club and those who insist on living their lives and shaping their relationships according to their own needs and desires rather than the society around them. Another grand read from a truly gifted writer.

I first encountered this author when I read the first book in this series and went back and found others which I enjoyed as well. This third book continues the saga involving a pair of brothers whose family has been deeply involved in a BDSM club in New Orleans and is not replicating that club to some extent in this new and limited expression of that BDSM experience. The manager of Le Club is a beautiful woman whose heart has been bruised and wounded by the one person she should have been able to rely upon after cancer surgery attacked her self-esteem as a woman. So there are a number of levels of interest in this story--a love story, to be sure, but there is that redemptive ingredient that deals with the rebuilding of Anne's willingness to risk a new relationship and to trust that someone can really love her, wounds and scars and all. It is a beautiful love story and one that shouldn't be missed. The BDSM ingredient is really mild and adds greatly to the story.

It is always fun to watch a community grow and characters mature through several books in a series. Now a young event planner is working to bring together two men for whom she has had the "hots" for years and now sees an opportunity to perhaps live out a favorite fantasy. All the characters in this series are successful and yet, all are open about the fact that their emotional lives are incomplete. This, like the other books in this series, is written beautifully, good editing, good spelling and sentence syntax (thank you to the author and editorial staff), and two handsome cowboys who are not only encountering the fantasy of a beautiful woman but whose personal horizons are expanded surprisingly. Another great piece of work for all the fans of this series.

I was really delighted to see this second novel in this series--have really been waiting with baited breath. I love the Desire, OK series and to read of the founders is a treat. Well written with very interesting characters, all with sharp edges and able to "hold their own" in the story, this novel continues the story of a young woman who made her debut in book one and whose sad and abused life made all of us hope that she would hook up with those sexy U. S. marshalls and get the heck out of Kansas City and away from her hypocritical/psycho guardian. Now the story is fleshed out but she is fearful of the hurt and mahem that the good (?) reverend will turn loose on Desire and its residents. Am chomping at the bit to hear the stories of some of the other residents. Any hope for those half- breed brothers who are so cynical about life? All in all, its a great book and one that will be greatly enjoyed by this author's fans and those who really love historical romance set in the American West.

A fun, very romantic and erotic tale set in the fictional town of Liberty Springs and a continuation of stories about characters who have already made an appearance in previous novels in this series. Now the two auto mechanics--as different as night from day--have both fallen for the new school teacher but she is falling for them both. The story is complicated by a half brother who Danny really doesn't know, and the various settings of their developing love story are intense sometimes and hilarious at others. This is a really good writer and has given romance fans stories that are rooted in reality in many ways while exploring the menage lifestyle with all its intensity and heat. A really terrific read and one that is a worthy addition to a fine series of stories.

This newest novel in the Bride Train series expands the story of a woman rescued from sex slavery after being sold to a brothel by her supposed fiance. Chosen by the men who saved her, she is still determined that no man will break her will, control her body and soul, nor rip away her plan to be an independent business woman. Yet her heart still aches for a home of her own, children, a spouse who will love her. The three men in this story are all very different, connected by circumstance and heritage, yet each sees redemption and renewal in loving this fierce woman. It is another fine story from a very good author and the latest in a series that embraces a part of American history that has been neglected until recently. Those who really like historicals based in American lore will really like this book.

Another fine story by an author who seems to be able to keep on crafting tales that engage the imagination and stroke the libido. Rooted in BDSM and the D/s lifestyle, yet there is a different slant and one that features individuals who find themselves in a new way of life, in a different way of interacting. A terrific novel and one that will please this author's fans.

An intense novel that brings hot loving, good people, and some very bad stuff together to make up a story that will rivet the reader's attention and be a find reading experience. Morgan Ashbury has done it again -- a story that is a fine example of the writer's craft and the story teller's art. Just one terrific read!!

Writing as Macy Largo, Tymber Dalton has given her fans an entertaining and erotic story that revolves around a social evil that our culture doesn't seem to know how to handle, namely,the victims of mob violence. Here a beautiful but somewhat naive woman has become embroiled in the life of a mob figure, a man who she honestly thought cared for her, but she learns that he cares more for himself and his life than for her. Faking her death, she finds her way to into the lives of two men who love each other but who find themselves falling in love with her. It is a familiar theme in Dalton's books, but there are twists and turns here that make this story its own. Written with the familiar verve, vitality and a sense of the joy of living, the characters in this story still come across as real, with real feelings and needs, with hearts that can be hurt and bruised. A great story and one that continues to be one of my favorites.

I really like this author and have been gobbling up the books right and left. This one is not exception, but it was tough encountering Brody's pain and his efforts to keep from falling for this feisty and delightful woman, one who gave him the kind of respect and genuine response that he wanted. Yet the past had done a number on him and he didn't seem to be able to move on. Yet his brother Luke, now falling in love, was actually prepared to move on without him. Lots of sexual tension, some really hot loving, an emotional roller coaster between these three individuals, and an ending that was a delight and something of a surprise at the way it all worked out. A terrific read and one that is well worth the time and effort to experience.

I was so delighted to find the newest Leah Brooke novel and dived right in, but I found these three characters to be irritating in a way I hadn't experienced for quite some time. Marcus' anger at fate's arranging his life was understandable--he felt he had lost control over so much in the past and now to have a quirky, complaining, irritatingly independent woman fall into his lap--it wasn't to be endured. James was much more mellow and seemed to be better able to "roll with the punches" but Bailey--well that's another story. Angry, hard to understand, refusing to accept that these two men were actually shifters, even after repeated demonstrations? O come on, kiddo! Enough already. I just never liked all the adversarial stuff--all the arguments, the love making that was shared even when they were angry over being attracted to one another. Went on way too long and was waaaaaay too intense. Yet for all that, Ms Brooke is a wonderful writer and I could visualize all their anxiety, their worry over how to get past all that Fate had dumped in their laps, their desire to have a normal and loving relationship. I just couldn't get comfortable with the progress of this relationship and wanted things to settle down just a little bit faster. It's an OK paranormal romance, but I don't think it was her best. Just a bit disappointing to say the least.

Reece Butler is a really fine novelist who brings the historic Old West alive with stories of odd relationships that are shaped by difficult circumstances. Here's a story that certainly doesn't start off with hearts and flowers--in fact, these men are not too enamored of this heroine who has a very independent idea of what her life is going to look like when all is said and done. Life doesn't work out that way for many, and with the strange circumstances surrounding these four people, life takes some twists and turns that put them at odds when they least expect it. There are a couple of bad guys who manage to make hell for others, sacrificing their happiness on the altar of their own greed. Yet the citizens of the Old West had to be strong and these men and their woman are no exception. Great historical romance involving characters that come across as real people. A good story and a very entertaining read!

Ms Glenn has given her fans a hot and lusty story about three people, one of whom is a very feisty lady who just seems to fall into difficulty no matter which way she turns. Who would have believed the Russian mob? Yet that's where she ends up until rescued by a pair of twin guys who knock her socks off and they do that for readers as well. Lots of action, hot loving, great sexual encounters--everything readers want to experience in well-written erotic romance. This book has been around for a while but that hasn't diminished its punch nor its great impact as a really delightful and captivating read. I've only just discovered Ms Glenn's work--don't know why I hadn't read much previously, but this has been a terrific reading experience and I'm looking forward to more!

book 2 in a very compelling series of novellas that involve a high-powered Dom and a sub who is very tentative about BDSM and willing only to be introduced to it by a man she is coming to love. But what a love story be without a crisis and some difficulties between the lovers? Well written and a nicely balanced story that is told in a shorter literary format, yet the reader will have a good reading experience and I think it will feel like a complete story. I always wonder why authors don't just bite the bullet and write a full-length story. The characters are strong and have their own personalities. Why cheat them out of greater development? That being said, it was a very satisfying read and one that I really enjoyed.
