Jakob left his pack a hundred years before…to escape his controlling twin. He finally comes home, along with the mate he’s found along the way. Jakob knows having claimed her without Joran may tear their already tempestuous relationship apart, but in order to keep his new mate safe, there is no better place than with his family.
Joran has awaited the day his younger twin would walk through the front door. Seeing Jakob mated, Joran realizes his chance at happiness has been stolen from him. Yet he still feels the incredible pull of the beautiful Kara, even if she can’t be his. His steel-willed control falters for the first time in eons.
Kara is in the middle of this tug of war, her head already a whirlwind from leaving her life behind. Will she be the bridge to bring them together, or rip them further apart?
**This book also includes the short Going Berserk which was originally available in the anthology Midnight Seduction**

Kara stood motionless, staring at the lump of lifeless flesh huddled in the sand. Turning to the male as he transitioned back to human form, she felt the need rip through her once more, and a growl form on her lips. He was nude, gorgeous, a beautiful specimen of masculinity and her mind screamed at her to jump on top of him and rut with him like a beast.
She felt animal, visceral, and alive for the first time in her life. Her blood beat a staccato in her ears, the rushing sound feeding the need gripping her. Kara felt as if her body was stronger somehow, and she wasn’t even sure she wanted to think about where those claws of hers had come from, but at the same time, needed some answers.
“What am I?”
His face was still in the shadows, and she could not read his expression. “You are a Berserker mate.”
Sighing she knew each question would open up to more questions. “I don’t know what a Berserker is. I assumed that was your name when the old hag called you that.”
“My name is Jakob. And yours?”
Stepping closer to her, he pulled her into his arms, swiping his calloused hand across her face, rubbing a thick thumb across her bottom lip. “Sweet, sweet Kara. You are a Favored, a Berserker mate. But I think we need to get off this beach before I tell you more. I have a safe place for us both.”
Trembling at his touch, Kara knew she would go anywhere with this man, her mind and body demanded his touch, her need overrode any possible fear she had.
“I feel you tremble, you need not fear me. I would never hurt you.”
“I…I don’t think you would.”
“What are we going to do with her?” Kara looked back at the sands, only to inhale a deep breath. “Where is she?”
Jakob looked over at the spot the old witch had died. Or had she?
