Blake can't believe it when he catches the first scent of his mate on the wind. He thought he’d finally lost what little humanity he had left, expecting to be feral for the rest of his life. After his first look at Simone, the universe that had tortured him for the last six years tilts, and he feels normal and happy—things he never thought would happen again. But good things never tend to last...

Excerpt

Simone arched her neck to give him more room to touch her. It was the most wonderful feeling in the world, and she somehow knew she’d crave his touch for the rest of her life.

Her breasts felt heavy, and her nipples burned as he sucked on them, making her desire rise and her need for him grow.

“Blake,” she cried out, and her fingers pulled at his hair.

He lifted his head. “I know, baby. I need you, too, but I want our first time to be as special as possible.”

“It will be when you get inside of me,” she said. She wasn’t above begging because she ached more than ever, and it felt like her skin was electrified. The heat in her cunt and cervix felt like she was sitting in front of a blazing fire with her legs spread.

He must have felt her distress because he moved up between her legs, lined his cock up to her cunt, and started pressing in. If she hadn’t been so desperate for him, she would have made him stop. The size of him and the pressure she felt were starting to overwhelm her.

“Harder,” she said.

“I will, mate, just relax and let me get it in this first time. The last thing I want to do is rip you apart.”

Her nails dug into his arms, and she gritted her teeth, fighting back her need long enough for him to get in her. A scream tore from her mouth when he shoved the last few inches into her. God, yes. That’s what she needed.

“How are you doing, mate?”

She exhaled. “Good. I’d be better if you started fucking me.”

He chuckled. “You got it.” One of his hands cupped the back of her head and the other her hip to keep her in place as he glided in and out of her.

She raised her legs and crossed them behind him, opening herself up for him to go deeper.

“Blake…”

“I’ve got you,” Blake said. “I’m close, too.”

They stared into each other’s eyes, and the connection she felt was so profound she had tears fill her eyes. Instead of freaking out, Blake licked them from her cheeks. “I feel it, too. It’s like our souls are touching.”

She hadn’t thought of that, and now that he said it, it did feel like their entire beings were meshing into one entity. He finally started to pick up his pace. She was relieved because she knew she’d get the release she needed, but the tightness in her abdomen was excruciating as it built.

“Hang onto me, mate,” Blake said.

She tightened her legs and wrapped her arms around his neck.

He was pounding into her so hard that she would have moved up the mattress if they hadn’t held onto each other.

“Come for me, mate,” he yelled.

She felt the orgasm rush over her, and then a burst of light filled her eyesight. The orgasm seemed to go on forever, and she started to see black dots in her vision, telling her she was very close to passing out. The thought didn’t terrify her like it should have because she knew Blake would take care of her and keep her safe.

Her scream mixed with his deep groan to fill every crevice in the room. He pressed some of his weight down onto her as his breathing slowed. God, she would never be able to express her feelings, and she didn’t think there were words profound enough to describe them.
