[Siren Everlasting Classic ManLove: Erotic Alternative Paranormal Romance, M/M, shape-shifters, HEA]
Jake Taylor was just looking for some fun at the gay bar outside of his tiny ass town. He never expected to see a man who made the world shift beneath his feet.
Morgan Anson is young and good looking, and just Jake's type. It's weird that he feels an immediate jealousy of everyone Morgan dances with. He needs to get the man home, right now, and make him his. Jake just never expected to wake up the following morning next to a wolf.
Morgan didn't mean to shift. It was an accident, but he was so comfortable and happy next to his mate, that it just sort of happened while he slept.
They can't stay away from each other for long, however, though Jake knows he should, and even though Morgan is considered a curse on his pack, Jake will have to prove himself to the alpha if he plans on taking Morgan out of his abusive pack forever.

"A solid start to a new series, this first book introduces a world where humans do not know about werewolves, packs are ruled by the most aggressive of several alphas, betas are kind and supportive, and omegas have no say at all and are servants – if they’re lucky. Morgan is one of those omegas, and his story is heartbreaking. Jake takes a while to figure all of this out, being “just” a human rancher, but he has a thing or two to say about how things are going to be from now on. Morgan is just out to get laid when he runs into Jake. Having hoped for an encounter of the physical kind, Morgan is ecstatic when Jake takes him home. But events turn chaotic when he feels safe enough to shift in his sleep, and Jake discovers that Morgan is a wolf shifter. After Morgan is sent away things don’t go well for him. Not only does he miss Jake, his mate, with a painful intensity, he also gets treated even worse than normal for having dared to have some fun. An omega like him, with mismatched eyes that the entire pack thinks are a curse, certainly does not have an easy life. Jake is also at the bar to have fun, and he is not prepared for the intense attraction he feels for Morgan. His initial reaction is pure shock, and he doesn’t really want to admit he misses Morgan once he sends him away, but in the end he is honest with himself and makes a step in the right direction by talking to Morgan – followed by some intense man-on-man action in the kitchen. What he finds out about Morgan’s past when the pack alpha shows up makes him mad enough to spit nails, and his behavior turns more than a little wolf-like in Morgan’s defense. If you like werewolf stories, if you want to find out more about alpha-like rancher Jake and shy omega Morgan, and if you’re looking for a read that is entertaining and a good introduction to a new series, then you might like this novella." -- Serena Yates, Rainbow Book Reviews

STORY EXCERPT

Jake felt something tickle his nose.

He reached his hand up to swat it away, turning over, searching for the warm body that was supposed to be next to him.

Something tickled him again, all over. It felt like feathers, or fur. What the hell?

He was still half asleep, so when the body beside him moved and stretched, he thought it was just his sleep addled mind that made him feel things that weren’t there.

Then he opened his eyes and was blinded by the light that poured in through the window.

Jake sat up immediately, and he turned to look at the clock on his nightstand.

Jesus fuck, he’d slept in, by a lot. The horses were going to be pissed off with him.

Jake turned and looked to Morgan on his bed, but he didn’t see Morgan.

There was a dog beside him.

A...a dog.

“What the fuck?” Jake snapped, jumping up and struggling to get out of bed.

The sudden movement of the mattress, and Jake’s shocked yell, caused the creature beside him to sit up and take notice of what was going on around it.

It turned to look at Jake, eyes that were...

Brown and blue.

Those eyes widened as a yip left its mouth. It hopped down off the bed, onto the other side where Jake couldn’t see it. He certainly heard the claws clicking on his hardwood floors, but then Morgan was the one to stand up, naked, and staring at Jake with wide, panicked eyes.

Jake looked around, searching for the giant dog.

“What the fuck? Where is it?”

He came around to the other side of the bed, where Morgan was standing, but nothing was there. It was just Morgan, who was still staring at him like he expected Jake to lose his shit any second now.

That was a real possibility. Jake never wanted to flip out so much on anyone in his entire life.

“Where is it? Did you see that?”

Jake looked at Morgan, at his eyes, which were the same as that dog’s. He narrowed his eyes at the man. “What the hell? Was that your dog?”

Morgan swallowed. “Uh, it wasn’t a dog.”

Jake didn’t get it, and he didn’t understand how Morgan could have fallen off the bed without him noticing, or how a dog could have gotten into his house last night without him knowing about it either.

Jake got down on his knees and checked under the bed, even though the dog had been too big to fit under there.

It was gone. There was no dog.

Jake didn’t get it.

“Jake, look at me, please,” Morgan said, his voice so small, so...not what Jake expected. There was a slight rough tone to it.

Jake looked over his shoulder at Morgan. He felt the way his eyes widened. They were probably ready to pop out as he got to his feet and backed away from the man in front of him, the man he’d been inside of at least three times last night before they’d both finally passed out.

Morgan’s face...holy shit, his face...there was fur on it now. His nose was longer, and black, whiskers...he still looked human, as though he’d just been sitting in one of those Hollywood makeup chairs for a while.

But then the image Jake was seeing shimmered, and it went away. The fur, the whiskers, all of it. It was just Morgan standing there now.

“What did you just do?” Jake asked, knowing what this meant, but unable to say it all out loud.

“It means...” Morgan played with his fingers, and Jake watched his hands carefully, searching for any hint of claws or something.

There was nothing, it was just the two of them, two people. One person, and one...Jake wasn’t sure.

“I’m not bad, I won’t hurt you,” Morgan said, stepping forward. Jake immediately stepped back. The thought of Morgan coming near him and doing something freaked him out beyond everything he was capable of dealing with.

Morgan stopped, he didn’t try to step forward. He still had the look of a kicked puppy on his face, however. He looked away from Jake, and down at his feet.

“I don’t...I’m not bad, I just...I didn’t think this would happen so soon. I just met you.”

“What are you talking about?” Jake asked, then he shook his head. “You know what? No, I don’t want to know. This is too weird. You need to go.”

Jake reached for his clothing, yanking on his jeans and looking away from Morgan so he wouldn’t see the shock and hurt on his face.

“You want me to leave?”

“Definitely,” Jake said, still not looking at the man. “Actually, no, wait, what you just did to yourself, that’s not going to happen to me, is it?”

The brief flash of hope that had come over Morgan’s face vanished. “No. That’s not going to happen to you. It’s just me.”

Jake nodded. Good. This was good. Whatever was wrong with Morgan, whatever he had, Jake didn’t need it. He didn’t need to bring it around the horses and his employees.

“Look, I’ll call you or something, okay?” Jake said. “I just...that was really weird and I’m late to take the horses out. I’ve got a client showing up doe riding lessons in a couple of minutes.”

At least he didn’t need to feel like a dickhead about lying. That much was true. He did have a client coming.

Morgan sucked in a deep breath. Jake briefly glanced at the man, and God, was his chin trembling? Was Morgan going to cry?

“I’m sorry, I’m not trying to be an asshole, but—”

“I need you to know that I’m not a demon, I’m not cursed and I’m not bad luck. I wouldn’t ever hurt you or anyone you care about,” Morgan said quickly.

ADULT EXCERPT

“Jake,” he gasped.

“Want me to fuck you? Want me to put my cock inside you and make you come like that instead of with my fingers?”

Morgan would have thought that it wouldn’t matter how he’d come, just so long as it happened. He felt desperate for an orgasm, but not as desperate as he was to just get Jake inside of him right now.

“F-fuck me, right now. Seriously, I will hurt you if you make me wait anymore.”

Jake chuckled, but that was because he didn’t realize Morgan was being serious. Morgan would hurt him. He wouldn’t mean to, but it would happen. It was something that was inevitable when humans and wolves mixed together and tried to play in ways that they probably shouldn’t be.

Jake’s fingers vanished from Morgan’s hole, however, leaving him with that soft burn, and the feeling that he was too empty inside. He moaned as he shifted his hips, wanting that feeling of being full back. Fuck, he needed it!

“I know you do, sweetheart, just give me a second,” Jake said.

Morgan had to blink his blurry eyes a couple of times before he realized that Jake was opening the condom packet. He seemed to be having some trouble with it because of how slick his fingers were, however.

Morgan wasn’t interested in waiting anymore. “Let me,” he said, and then, without waiting for permission, he reached up and grabbed onto the condom before Jake could give it to him.

Very quickly, and without Jake seeing it, Morgan let one of his claws out. Just enough to create a slit in the edge of the wrapper, allowing him to pull it apart much easier and get what he needed inside.

He handed it back to Jake, who had an impressed look on his face. “Huh, thought that one just didn’t have the cut in it.”

“I found it,” Morgan said, watching with interest as Jake took the condom out, and then rolled it onto the hard, long length of his shaft.

Morgan was actually a little disappointed in that moment, because he realized he was about to have his first sexual experience, and neither he, nor Jake, had gone down on each other.

Wasn’t that something that always happened before sex?

He wasn’t thinking about that when he felt the head of Jake’s cock, so much thicker than his two fingers, pressing against his asshole. He groaned an closed his eyes.

Okay, he could do this. He’d done this before, but with an object, and not with a person. It would be mostly the same if he focused. All he had to do was breath and push out. That was the secret ingredient. It was all he needed to do.

Then Jake was inside, and the man groaned, a low and guttural sound as he was finally beyond the ring of muscle.

Morgan felt a sharp pain. He hadn’t realized he was so tight. It had been a little while since he’d used that toy on himself. He’d wanted to be tight and satisfying for whoever wanted him.

“You still with me?” Jake asked.

He wasn’t just shoving forward. He was giving Morgan the time he needed to let his body adjust to what was happening.

Morgan breathed in through his mouth, and then out through his nose. He hoped that was the rhythm he was supposed to be using, because right now, he felt a little too out of it to be thinking about anything other than the exquisite burn, the pleasure, and how this was finally happening.

It had taken him long enough to lose his damned virginity. Who would have thought that a human would be a good choice.

“Hey, Morgan?” Jake asked, his voice rough and a little on the guttural side.

“I’m fine,” Morgan said quickly.

Then Morgan really looked at him. A thin layer of sweat broke out over his face. The moon shone in through the window. They hadn’t turned the light on when coming into Jake’s room, so that made him almost glow in the blue light.

Morgan shifted, feeling his body relax. Even his insides relaxed, and now Jake was sinking deeper inside.

“I’m fine,” Morgan said again, sighing the words as he felt that pleasurable sizzle within him.

As Jake sank inside, his cock slid against Morgan’s prostate.

Fuck, that was nice.

“Good,” Jake said, pushing back and canting forward. He shook his head as he thrust forward. “Because I can’t stop now.”

Jake moved hard and fast just then. He moved like a wild man. Like an alpha would. Or at least, how Morgan thought an alpha would, how they spoke about moving whenever they bragged about fucking an omega.

Morgan loved it. So good. The pleasure wasn’t just in his cock and inside of him, it was everywhere inside of him, and all over the rest of his body.

He let go of his knees without meaning to, and he had to struggle to hold his legs up, to keep them at an angle that would make it easier for Jake to thrust inside of him. Then he grabbed onto Jake’s shoulders and just hung on for the ride.
