5 LOVE TAPS: "What an amazing writer, I have loved each and every book in this series. This one, book 7, just reaffirms why I think Celeste is such a talented writer. Though such a large series, each book has an end, not quite a standalone because the characters from previous books will make an appearance. The storyline makes a few points about life in general. A struggle to make things right, about hiding and just accepting, looking beyond the scars of pain, trusting even when you’re not sure. All of this is the reason I gave this 5 stars. But the most important for me I guess is the patience the men showed her. There are Aliens among us, (smiles) and Dr Keeley is close to not only finding that out but proving it as well. Makar and Baruch are on a much needed semi vacay from their Emperor, when they are lucky enough to stumble upon a woman. Said woman? None other than Dr Keeley. You will get to run around with the tri-couple as they get into some pretty sticky situations. Flying into and being downed, to finding history, to seeing why the Emperor is just who he is. Keeley will get to see other women from Earth not only co-existing but seem pretty damn happy in their existing. Some serious bumping and grinding and face fanning going on also. Wonderful and I am so glad that I had a chance to read it. Consider it recommended! Enjoy…" -- Daria, We Love Kink

4.5 STARS: "Scarred by both physical and mental abuse from her past, Dr. Keely Anderson doesn’t feel she is worthy of love. Every relationship thus far has ended when she let her guard—and her clothing—down. Resigned to her fate of being alone, she’s settled herself into a comfortable routine and thrown herself into work. Intelligent, beautiful, funny, and sexy are not words she’d use to describe herself. No, Keely thought of herself as nothing more than battered goods and mediocre at best. Rather than dwell on the past and how her life may have been different, she focuses on trying to help others. Too bad her education does little to help her. As a psychiatrist, you’d think she’d have it all figured out. But truth be told, she’s killing herself with misery. She needs just as much help as her patients, she just doesn’t know it. Keely’s boss certainly doesn’t help matter, either. He treats her as though she doesn’t have a single brain cell in her head and belittles her at every opportunity. When she stumbles upon a phenomenon that’s repeated by several of her patients—none of whom know each other—she does her best to try and convince him that there is something paranormal going on. As expected, Mr. Webb practically laughs in her face, then forbids her from pursuing her investigation of these so called other-worldly events. What Keely doesn’t realize is her curiosity is not only a danger to her job, but threatens the well-being of the people of Insedivertus as well. One way or another, she has to stop her investigation. Though, it just might take two Insedi warriors to convince her. Makar and Baruch are no strangers to love. They’ve had a strong bond with each other for years. Before all the women of their planet were murdered, they shared a mate, Tianus. But Tianus had been spoiled and immature. Unbeknownst to Makar, she had used her affection for him to hurt and torment Baruch. While they both had mourned her passing, they did the only thing they could to get through it: they turned to each other. The idea of having another mate to share seemed like a distant dream. That was until they spotted Dr. Keely Anderson making her rounds in the hospital. As soon as Baruch lays eyes on the shapely doctor, he knows she’s the one to complete their family. It doesn’t take long for Makar to reach the same decision. Now all they have to do is convince Keely that she’s the perfect mate for a couple of love-struck aliens. I don’t know how Ms. Prater does it. Each story in the Fueled by Lust series is just a good as the one before. She’s managed to weave together this fantastic world of wonderful men who want nothing more than to dote on their mate. Each new tale not only revisits characters of previous installments, but she also manages to skillfully weave in new ones, which I hope means this line will never end. I liked the change of pace with this book by adding in a second male. The presence of M/M love on Insedivertus has been evident since book one. Yet, Ms. Prater has not made this an overwhelming theme. On the contrary, she’s added just enough into the mix to make it feel natural. While Makar and Baruch are indeed a mated pair, they’ve turned to each other out of necessity. They both long to replace that love with a mated female. I’m not a big M/M fan. While I have read and enjoyed some M/M stories, I’ve always preferred M/F. But Makar and Baruch’s relationship felt normal and appealing from the get go. I must admit, I’m envious of Keely. One Insedi male would be a dream come true. To have two chasing after you would be nothing short of Heaven. Once again, Ms. Prater has managed to engross my attention to the point that if there were any flaws in her editing, I didn’t notice. I absolutely love how she builds on each new story with snippets of past installments. I feel like I know and love these people. Each character’s personality—strengths and weaknesses—continue to add and perfect the makeup of Insedivertus. Ms. Prater has integrated the Insedi race into the people of Earth in such a manner that it just may make you wonder…could it be possible? While I always hate the final page and the words, The End, I turn my sadness into hope that Ms. Prater will continue the Fueled by Lust series with many more installments to come. No pressure. *smile* Thank you Ms. Prater for another masterfully penned story with not one but two wonderful Insedi men. I’ve quit trying to pick a favorite; I don’t think it’s possible. The characters of the Fueled by Lust series will surely color my dreams and fantasies for many years to come. If you dream of Alpha males with tender hearts, realistic females with a flaws to flaunt, and other worlds a heck of a lot more interesting than ours, then be sure to check out the Fueled by Lust series by Celeste Prater. I haven’t read a single one yet that hasn’t garnered my full attention and captivated my heart." -- Verbena, Long and Short Reviews

4.5 STARS: "I’m all for two men and these two especially. They have a synergy that is at times funny and others scary. And they are just what the doctor ordered for Keely. Pun intended. Dr. Keely Anderson has been chasing smoke and it’s starting to mess with her life. Patients are describing men who can disappear and darn if she isn’t starting to believe it herself. Keely has had a hard life and it’s still hard, but now it’s lonely to boot. She has trouble connecting romantically with men and has no friends to speak of due to her dedication to her work. When Baruch and Marak display interest in her, she’s so not catching on to their subtlety. And when they kidnap her? She’s totally out of her element. Keely may have higher education but she’s an absolute novice when it comes to emotions, either accepting them or returning them. She’s basically afraid, and Makar and Baruch are just the men to make her feel safe. They put her first throughout the book, be it either common courtesy or laying down their lives for her. What woman could resist? Makar and Barcuch finally have their chance at a mate and while both want it, Baruch is more hesitant. And when his reason is revealed it heals a wound that Makar could feel but couldn’t identify that has existed in their relationship for years; Keely’s ability to render that makes her even more desirable. The Insedi saga continues and I so enjoy the author’s attention to detail. Each story is its own, but they are all entwined. This story focuses on the trio with side trips into politics and how the Insedi are changing the more humans they bring to their world. There is also a wedding and all the romance that entails. The ending wasn’t what I expected at all, but I liked how Keely’s men took care of the specter that has haunted her for so long. I’m always waiting for the next book in the series." -- Chris, Night Owl Reviews

STORY EXCERPT

Closing the door behind her, Keely leaned against the shiny wood and wished she’d chosen a different level of study besides psychiatry. What in the hell was I thinking? The ones running the show are just as screwed up.

Shaking off the disappointment at once again being shot down on her request to extend the case analysis on Sewell and Foster, Keely blew out a harsh breath and pushed away from the door. Shit, maybe the idiot’s right. Perhaps there is some type of communication going on between these patients. Could it be that simple? Lips pursed, she immediately dropped that line of thinking. No, that’s not good enough. How in the hell am I supposed to just accept that theory if I can’t ask any more questions?

Growling her frustration, Keely beat feet down the quiet corridor. One more patient and I can get the hell out of here. The fleeting thought made her grimace. Yeah, like that’s any better. Who looks forward to a silent apartment and another nuked meal? Crap! I’m pathetic.

Halfway around another turn, she stopped dead in her tracks. Great! I left the case folder on his desk. After a two-second struggle on whether to face his irritating ass again, she shrugged, shoved her hands into her coat pockets, and continued forward. Hell, maybe the moron will finally read it and stir up his curiosity.

All thoughts of Webb actually owning a curiosity came to an immediate halt. Her determined steps faltered, and she felt her eyes widen. She’d forgotten the last time she’d ever been this surprised, or even enthralled enough, to take a second look at anything. Geezus!

The best-looking, blue-jean-encased, sculpted male ass she’d ever encountered in her life caught her full attention and nudged every sense into full alert. That the scrumptious butt just happened to be attached to a wide, v-shaped back topped with gorgeous, tousled black hair falling a little past a set of broad shoulders wasn’t helping in the slightest. Long, muscular legs held up the tall, delicious frame.

The man stood casually to one side of the corridor, but it felt as if he took up the entire space. His right arm was lifted as he adjusted something close to his chest, causing the muscular bicep to pop up like a boulder. She fervently hoped he wouldn’t turn around and catch her ogling his attributes.

Her breath caught when a face that could only be described as a fallen angel peeked around the edge of the other man’s head. Shit! Where’d he come from? As soon as his thick-lashed gaze locked to hers, his sculpted lips stretched into a beaming smile. Keely knew she was frantically searching his features in order to take it all in before she woke up from whatever erotic dream had captured her. I’m asleep at my desk. I have to be.

Hair as dark as the other man’s was pulled back from his face, revealing a strong jaw dusted with a light beard. Slashing brows, perfectly straight nose, golden skin, and high cheekbones only further emphasized the hypnotic, almond-shaped, light-gray eyes steadily drawing her in.My god, they’re almost silver.

Eyebrows rising, he made a quick glance to the broad-shouldered man. She watched his lips moving as his friend straightened and stepped back a pace. Freed from the trap of those mercurial eyes, she realized the fallen angel’s build was just as lethal. Is his hair in a braid? Oh, that’s too delicious. Wake up! Wake up!

Dropping her gaze to ensure her feet were still moving, Keely grabbed the handheld computer from her coat pocket and pretended to study the screen. She vaguely registered that her thumb hovered over the photo application. No, no, you can’t take a picture! That’s ridiculous.

Realizing she was about to pass the Greek gods that had deigned to come down from Mount Olympus and grace the hospital corridor, Keely knew what she was about to do, but couldn’t stop herself if she tried—she looked over one more time. Her throat worked on a hard swallow as she gazed upon the face of the man with the perfect ass.

Ah, would you look at that? He’s got a dimple in his chin. I’m definitely dreaming. Full, pouty lips, dusty beard, same perfect skin, straight blade of a nose with a slight lift to the end, and winged brows held her enthralled. Her hungry eyes collided with a stunning pair of narrowed, sultry, thick-lashed golden ones. Spectacular!

The fascinating pupils were the color of honey and as inviting as the sweet liquid poured over warm toast on a cold morning. The quick thudding of her heart and the heat steadily crawling up her neck assisted in breaking through the web he’d thrown around her. She ripped her gaze away before she went with pure instinct and veered right into both of them.

Gathering her wits, Keely increased her strides and begged for the next corridor to hurry up and rescue her. Don’t look back, don’t look back ricocheted around like a stray bullet in her addled brain. She felt as if she were losing her mind. The air practically crackled with electricity, while the fine hairs along her arms lifted in response. She could sense their eyes traveling her body and held back from breaking into a dead run.

ADULT EXCERPT

Keely snorted. “Not interested.” When she blinked rapidly and swallowed hard, Baruch knew she’d pushed out an empty protest.

Shrugging, he started the long strokes again, adding a slight twist when reaching the glistening tip.

“Suit yourself. We don’t mind if you continue to watch us. In fact, I find it very erotic to know your eyes are traveling my body at this very moment. Makar’s thoughts are letting me know that he’d prefer to see your dainty hand caressing his flesh rather than his own. I would have to agree.”

Huffing out a frustrated breath, Keely glared at them. “I can’t believe you’re doing that right in front of me. You’re not shy at all, are you?”

“Nope. Have you never masturbated as a stress reliever, Keely? It can be quite effective. Don’t lie. I’ll know if you do.”

“Whatever! It’s not like I can stop you. Just be quiet about it.” She huffed out a breath, punched her pillow a few times, and covered her head with the blanket.

Baruch purposefully increased the growing moans of pleasure slipping from his lips, letting her know just how much he was enjoying himself. Makar nudged him on the back.

She’s pulled the blanket down a bit. Her breath is increasing again. Gods, I love the smell of violets. She has me so ramped up, I’m about to explode. She fares no better.

Nor I. Baruch released his cock and crawled from the mattress. Steadily, he moved to within inches of her face, their noses almost touching. He tugged gently on the blanket until he revealed the creamy skin of her neck. The pulse on her throat flicked rapidly to the frantic pace of her heart. Her eyes were now wide and unblinking. A fine bead of sweat coated her brow.

Her inner fire burns brightly, Makar. He lowered his voice and let it slide out as if silk itself.

“Join us, Keely. Your eyes dilate with passion. My senses haven’t failed me.”

“I already told you that I’m not interested.”

Her soft, trembling words helped to release a soft growl from his throat, informing any that heard that he was a male with one goal—to get as close as possible to its mate. The air fairly crackled with the amount of energy streaming between him and Makar. It now swirled effortlessly around their green-eyed goddess.

“You lie, sweetness. We can smell your desire. The intoxicating bouquet of violets beckons us as if a moth to a flame.”

Keely blinked rapidly, yet stayed perfectly still. “That’s ridiculous. You can’t smell desire.”

“Oh, that’s where you’re wrong, little one. Makar spoke of this Insedi trait while you waited under the trees. I was in his thoughts.”

Keely swallowed and pushed up into a sitting position. Her fingers gripped the edge of the cushions. “My desire smells like flowers?”

Rising to his knees, Baruch clasped her calves and slowly pushed her legs wide. Moving between her thighs, he leaned forward until she collapsed against the backrest. He positioned his cock across her covered mound and looked her directly in the eye.

“Do you feel how heavy he lies upon your body? Your sweet flowers have snared the beast. He awaits your decision.” Reaching down, Baruch captured her hand and brought it to his shoulder. He cooed out his encouragements as he dragged her trembling fingers down his flesh, stopping just above his heart.

“Touch me, Keely. It’s okay. No one will know. It’s just us here in this cozy room. Do what your heart desires. Go ahead.” He slowly moved his hand back to her thigh when she didn’t try to free herself. Baruch’s breath caught as her fingers tentatively trailed along his skin, leaving a fiery path behind.

Gradually, her exploration grew stronger, more assured. She gripped his biceps, paused to touch his mating necklace, slid her palm down his belly, hesitated, and then moved up to flick a thumb across his left nipple. His ball sac tightened. Each movement caused his core to shudder with excitement. Makar’s words of encouragement drifted through his mind, urging him to stay the course and draw their little minx into their world.

Chills flew up his spine as Keely reached forward and touched the side of his head, smoothing across his hair and capturing his braid. He trembled when she spoke softly to him.

“You’re so beautiful.”

A wash of desire blanketed his senses, and he leaned forward to draw the enticing scent deeply into his lungs. The need to see and feel all of her flesh overwhelmed him. Reaching down he began lifting her shirt. The firm grip to his wrists snapped him out of the heady web she’d cast upon him. Gifting her with a small smile, he released the material, and she freed his arms. When his palms gripped her lush breasts through the material, her soft moans had his cock bouncing against her stomach. Once more, he attempted to remove her shirt, and she bumped her forehead against his, her words strained.

“No.”

He moved close to her ear and whispered, “Ah, my little minx. The chase is just as intoxicating as the capture.” He smiled when Makar leaned next to him, reached out, and caressed Keely’s cheek, his words silky and inviting.

“Have you ever seen two males take a female together?”
