A Siren Erotic Romance
5 HEARTS: "Ever since her mother died when she was five, Laynee Conners has been in a school for the blind, first as a student and currently as a teacher until her father brings her back home. Laynee’s dad doesn’t want her to come home really. He wants her dead and he has the perfect idea to kill her and make it look like wild animals were the culprit. Brothers, David and Eric Wind River, have been called back to the Wind River Pack by their alpha. While camping overnight on their way home, the men stumble upon a drugged Laynee who was left to die. David and Eric realize that Laynee is their mate and the brothers are going to do everything within their power to keep her safe. Author Missy Martine’s distinctive voice shines, giving readers exactly what they want — an exciting tale filled with plenty of action, thrilling passion, poignant emotion and lots of danger to create a special story that touch the heart with Blind Acceptance. Once the reader starts reading, they will be hard pressed to put the book down and walk away. Well-developed, endearing and incredibly alive characters, Laynee, David and Eric are people that readers will feel and believe their sensual and passionate connection. I especially enjoyed the fact that while Laynee might have a handicap with her blindness, she really didn’t let the handicap overshadow her life. Her strength and determination of character evenly match her with shifter brothers David and Eric. Both men want to give their mate the world and make her happy and at no point do they ever question fate with Laynee’s lack of sight nor bemoan the fact that with their mating her sight will not return. I applaud Ms. Martine because so much of the time authors want to make their characters perfect or to have them be cured and with Blind Acceptance that isn’t the case. The Wind River brother’s extended family and pack work wonderfully as supporting characters helping keep the pace with each scene as well as enhancing the heroes and the heroine. The villains are just plain evil and well before they get what they have coming to them I think the reader will feel as if they could, they would reach through the pages and annihilate them. The ending wraps up superbly while leaving the reader hanging on and intrigued for what’s next in this exciting new series." -- Shannon, The Romance Studio
4.5 HEARTS: "When I saw the cover of this book I just had to read it. It looked very interesting and then I read what the book was about. Laynee Conners has lived in a blind school since she was five years old when her mother died. Now all of a sudden when she turns twenty-one her dad comes to bring her home. She has never had a relationship with her dad and can’t understand why he wants to have something to do with her now. If only she knew that his plans to go camping involves in a plan to get rid of her. David and Eric Rivers are shape-shifters and are called home to a family meeting. They are camping out when they hear a man and his partner discussing getting rid of his blind daughter. They know that they need to find her before something happens to her. When Eric turns into his wolf he finds her surrounded by raw meat and a orange can of pop that has some drugs in it. When his wolf gets Laynee’s scent he knows she is his mate. When David sees her and his bear gets a hold of her scent he finds out that she is his mate to. So Laynee is the mate to a wolf and a bear. This was a great story and I loved watching the boys interact with Laynee. She never let her blindness get her down and she is not ashamed of who she is. Eric and David has their hands full with Laynee and keeping her safe. This book was a great read and was exciting all the way through. I really enjoy reading books by this author and I will have to see if there is more books in this series so I can find out what happens next." -- Crystal, Smile Somebody Loves You
4 CUPS: "Laynee Conners has spent almost her entire life in a school for the blind and is finally going home. Unfortunately, she is all that stands between her father and her inheritance. The plan fails when she is found and saved by the two men who discover the plot and stand between her and greed. Eric and David are inseparable since they were orphans and now they know why. Before they can claim their mate they must first save her from certain death. Laynee knows she is one lucky lady but before she can get on with her life she has to wrestle her inheritance from her greedy father and prevent him from ever doing it again. David and Eric are determined to make Laynee safe even if she never accepts them for who they really are. Blind Acceptance is a beautiful love story. Laynee is a sweet character who deserves the love of two hunky men. The combination of a wolf and a bear as partners to a tiny blind woman was an outstanding story hook. I was into the story from the first moment the two hero’s laid eyes on their sweet mate. The story builds up to the finale and leaves the reader with a peaceful and happy feeling." -- Delane, Coffee Time Romance and More
Groaning, Laynee slowly opened her eyes and shivered. “Father?” She felt groggy, her head almost spinning. Her tongue felt thick, and a bad taste coated her mouth. She could smell an earthy, pine scent mixed with the odor of damp, rotting wood. The air was crisp and bitingly cold. She reached out her hand and trailed her fingers over the rough bark of a tree. A cold wind ruffled through her hair.
“Ugh,” she groaned when she felt the moisture seeping into her jeans. She could feel the prickle of briars against her palms as she pushed to a sitting position, the spongy ground making her draw back in horror. Why can’t I think clearly? Everything seems so fuzzy. “Where the hell am I, Father?” she screamed.
She froze and tried to calm her breathing, listening carefully for the sound of voices. The only sound was the branches creaking and the groaning of the trees in the wind. She wrapped her arms around her waist and tried to stop from shaking. “What am I gonna do now?”
Trying to control her fear, she struggled to her feet and reached out with her hand to steady herself against a tree. Dizziness nearly overwhelmed her as she dropped to her knees. She turned her face to the wind and strained to hear a familiar sound. After a minute, she tried to stand and froze. The rhythmic sound of footsteps beating against the path caused her breath to catch. “Who’s there?” she whispered.
“I can hear something panting.” Using her legs, she pushed back toward the tree when something plowed through the brush. When she heard an excited yip, she turned to the direction it came from and smiled. “Doggy, here boy.” Barely able to keep her eyes open, she held out her hand. Moments later, something cold and wet pressed against her palm.
She took a shaky breath and laughed. “You’re a big fellow, aren’t you?” Laynee continued to pet him, laughing when he licked her cheek and neck, partially leaning on his firm back. The heat from his body drew her. She scooted closer and hugged him tight.
“You’re so warm, boy. Do you think I could warm myself for just a minute?” It was almost like he understood, cuddling closer, giving her the warmth from his body. “Fellow, we need to get out of here. You’ve got to have a master somewhere.” Her hands rubbed over his neck. “You don’t have a damn collar. Are you a stray?” She sighed when he licked her cheek. “Do you think you could lead us out of here, big guy? I can’t make it on my own. You’ll have to let me lean on you. I’m not feeling too well.”

Eric sniffed Laynee’s neck, whined, and then growled softly. She’s my mate! There was something off about her scent, but there was no doubt, this woman was his mate. He spotted a drink can on the ground and leaned down to sniff it, growling when he caught the unnatural scent. She was drugged, just like the man said. When she stiffened, he stopped growling and licked her cheek, whining when he felt her relax against him.
Turning, he stared at her face and froze. Her blank gaze was directed his way, but it was obvious she didn’t see him. My beautiful mate is blind! What kind of a man would leave his blind daughter to fend for herself?
Another unusual scent caught Eric’s attention. He raised his nose and breathed in deeply. With a low growl, he pulled away from Laynee and moved to the other side of the tree.
“Wait,” Laynee cried, and tried to grab for him, nearly falling flat on her face.
He hurried back so she could touch him, but not before he saw the raw meat lying on the ground. It’s a miracle some animal didn’t find her before I did. I’ve got to get her moving toward the highway so David can find us. They were too far from the road for David to pick up her scent unless he shifted. I’d hate to see how she’d react to hearing a bear lumbering through the woods.
Eric nudged her thigh and watched in horror as she tumbled over onto her side. Damn, I didn’t mean to knock you down.
Laynee groaned and pulled herself up. “I’m sorry, boy. I can’t seem to wake up. I’m so dizzy.”
Eric growled softly. I know why you’re dizzy. All those drugs are still in your system. It’s gonna be hard getting you back to the car if I don’t shift.
Determined, he nudged her thigh again and gripped her shirt between his teeth and pulled. She got the message and pulled herself up.
“Okay, boy. I’m coming. Keep your shirt on.” She got shakily to her feet, leaned heavily against Eric, and threaded her fingers in his ruff, holding on tight. Eric leaned down, closed his jaw around the soda can, and then prodded her forward, moving her around rocks and limbs as carefully as he could. Slowly they made their way toward the highway.
David’s fingers went to the hem of her shirt and slowly pulled it over her head. He cupped her breasts through her bra, gently squeezing. Bending forward, his hair brushed her cheek as he covered her cleavage with wet kisses and then bit lightly through the lace.
Eric dragged the rubber band holding her ponytail away, letting her hair fall over her shoulders and down her back. Her bra was unsnapped and eased from her body. She shivered with unexpected pleasure as David’s thumbs edged out gently and found her nipples, moving lazily back and forth, coaxing the tips into hard little nubs.
Behind her, Eric’s erection nudged her buttocks. Nipping the back of her shoulder, he squeezed her butt cheeks and then slid his fingers under the silk and into the cleft of her buttocks.
David ran a shaking hand over her, almost reverently, from her shoulder to her hip and then up again to cup her breast. Arms came up from behind, wrapping around her. David’s bare chest crushed her breasts, pushing her back into Eric.
“Wait,” Laynee, gasped. “I want to feel you.” She ran her hands over David’s back, pausing for a moment at the feel of small, thin scars, and then moved down across his buttocks. “This would be a lot easier if you guys would get naked.”
Without a word, both men stepped away, leaving her chilled even though the fire was burning. The rasps of their zippers broke the silence in the room, the sounds of fabric rustling combining with the crackling of the flames.
Laynee jumped when four hands converged on her hips and proceeded to drag her jeans and panties down her legs.
David tapped her left foot. “Raise it up, love.”
When she did, he slid her clothes away. Eric repeated the process with her right foot. Embarrassed, her hands dropped to cover the mound between her legs.
“Don’t cover up with us,” David whispered. “You’re beautiful, and we wanna see you.”
Eric’s arms came from behind her and pulled her hands away. “Never hide from us, love.”
She closed her eyes as heat curled in her belly when David slid one hand down the swell of her belly, his fingers burning her skin. Eric pressed closer, his skin cool against her back where they were pressed together above the waist.
David’s rough fingers stroked the hot flesh between her legs. She mindlessly opened her legs farther, needing him to touch her. He began to thrust his large fingers inside her while his other hand toyed and pinched at her breasts.
“Your pussy feels like heaven. You’re sopping wet,” David groaned.
Laynee gasped and thrust herself against his hand beginning to ride it. Suddenly, she stiffened, holding her breath as she strained toward a release. Pleasure rocked her body as she convulsed around his fingers. She would have fallen as her legs collapsed if Eric’s arms weren’t so tight around her.
Eric licked her ear. “You sound so sexy when you come.”
“I could feel her pussy contracting around my fingers.” David bit lightly at her shoulder.
Laynee struggled to breathe. “I wanna touch you, both of you.”
“Let’s get comfortable, love.” David slowly lowered her to the pillows on the floor and lay down beside her. Seconds later, she felt Eric move close enough against her back that she felt him from her shoulders to her feet.
David brushed the hair out of her face and leaned forward to claim her lips. He groaned as his mouth began to part hers insistently. He drew her closer and pressed her fingers into the light covering of hair on his broad, muscular chest. Her fingers spread, gingerly exploring the warm muscles.
Eric licked her shoulder. “Gotta give me some equal time, pretty lady. I need to feel your hands on me.”
Laynee turned and drew Eric down on her so that her bare breasts merged with his hard chest. She drank in the smell of his body with pleasure as her nipples bore into his smooth chest. He lifted her against him and kissed her hungrily until her mouth felt faintly bruised from the slow, insistent pressure. Heat spread throughout her insides and quickly settled in her lower body where it throbbed and pulsed. As she tasted his breath, her arms slid up to his shoulders, wanting to bring their bodies even closer.
Eric reached out and stroked the fingers of one hand down her face. “I need you to touch me. I wanna feel your silky fingers on my cock.”
Laynee trailed her hand down his firm abdomen until she reached a patch of curly hair. She combed through the wiry thatch and found his erection. It was hard and pulled up toward his stomach. Her sensitive fingers traced the silky, bulbous head, feeling a small bit of moisture at the top.
Eric groaned, his fingers threading through her hair.
David’s hand closed on her shoulder. “Move around, love. I wanna be able to touch you.”
Laynee panted as Eric spread his thighs. She crawled forward to kneel between his outstretched legs. She could feel David’s hands moved down her back, caressing, touching. Taking a deep breath, Laynee slid Eric’s hard length into her mouth and began to gently bob her head.
“Yeah, that’s it, baby.” Eric groaned.
She wrapped her hand around him and sucked harder, wanting to taste him fully. She hid her face against Eric’s groin, moaning sharply when David’s fingers brushed the tender flesh between her legs. His hand lingered there, gently stroking her inner thigh, building the inferno inside her.
Laynee licked and sucked at the swollen head, stroking the musky fluid from the slit with her tongue. She worked her lips around him, sucking as much as she could into her mouth using her tongue to stroke and rub against the sensitive underside of his cock.
“Stop,” Eric cried and tightened his fingers in her hair.
