I LOVE this series of books! I literally flew through the first 13 books (that includes the prequels) and finished this one on the same day it was released! This series is a combination of everything I love...magic...alternative universes or realms...shifters of all kinds (including dragons, my favorite kinds)...mystery...BDSM sex and a continuing series. This was the best book in the series yet! I love the various characters sets that tie together from not just this series but the prequels and the Good Will Ghost Hunting and Placida Pod series. The interaction between the various shifter groups, the alternate realms, the intriguing take on the "normal" perception of good versus evil and the surprises that seem to come out of nowhere keep you on the edge of your seat. There is absolutely nothing predictable about Tymber Dalton's writing! I couldn't help but read this in one sitting because I couldn't put my Kindle down! I seriously can't wait for the next book in the series to be released later this year!

In addition to Tymber Dalton's outstanding writing, her Kindle (e-books) have something that I very rarely find in that genre of books. I have yet to find a single instance of errors of any kind in grammar, spelling, incomplete sentences and other proofreading/editing errors that are almost ubiquitously present in other Kindle/e-books. This problem is almost universal in the e-book industry and I don't understand it because I have purchased print and e-book versions of the same books and the print books NEVER have the errors that are contained in the e-books. However, as I stated above, I have NEVER found any of these types of errors in Ms. Dalton's books.

Kudos to Tymber Dalton for this entire series and, in particular, for this book. They are all fantastic and I would highly recommend them all!

This series keeps getting better and better! I love Elaine and the Triad and can't wait to see what happens next! Tymber remains an automatic buy for me!

The mint tea and toast helped settle Elain’s stomach the rest of the way, and she started sipping ginger ale. She was due in to Dr. Alberto’s office in Tampa next week for a check-up. While she felt in her heart there wouldn’t be anything wrong with her babies, that anxiety still wanted to creep in.

She couldn’t help it.

Mai and Lina both showed up about an hour after Brodey finally headed out to the barns to help Ain, leaving Cail behind with Elain. Good timing, too, because an early Florida thunderstorm unleashed, the bottom falling out.

Lina stood at the back sliders and stared out at the rain. “Maybe we need some skyclad dancing.”

“You realize there’s lightning out there, right?” Cail asked. “I don’t think that’s safe.”

Lina turned and motioned both hands at Mai. “There’s lightning right here, bubba. Bottled up inside her coyote self.”

“Actually,” Elain said, staring out at the rain, “I want to go out there.”

“What?” Cail and Mai both asked.

“Doesn’t lightning stir up ozone and stuff? Energy in the atmosphere?” She started stripping, pulling her shirt off over her head. “Cail, you okay watching the babies?”

“Sure, but babe—”

“Please grab us some towels. We’ll need them when we come back.”

“Um, Elain?” Lina said. “I was only sort of kidding.”

“Yeah, well, I’m not.” Elain didn’t pull her gaze from where the rain was pockmarking the surface of their swimming pool, almost making it look like rough concrete. She stripped off her shorts and underwear and dropped them onto her shirt. “You coming?” All she wore was her wedding rings, the chain with the paw print tag that matched the ones her men wore, and the citrine amulet Ryan had given her.

She opened the sliders and stepped out, sliding them shut behind her.

Lina and Mai joined her a moment later, following her through the rain as Elain walked into the open expanse of the backyard.

Somewhere close by, thunder rumbled.

“Um, honey?” Lina asked, raising her voice over the storm. “You sure this is okay?”

Elain glanced at her. “You got a better idea?”

“Not really, but we don’t know if we’re lightning-proof.”

“Guess we’re going to find out.” She continued walking for another couple of minutes, out into a small field just to the side of their house where trees would block the view of any of the ranch hands.

Not that Elain expected any of them to be out and about on this part of the ranch, especially in this weather.

Elain stopped and held her hands out to Lina and Mai, who joined hands with her and each other. Throwing her head back and closing her eyes against the stinging rain, she started chanting in an old language that rhymed the way she said it.

She knew due to the connection she now had with Lina and Mai that they could understand every word.

“Goddess above, Goddess below,

Rain falls down and wind does blow.

Clear our minds and clear our hearts,

Show to us the hidden arts.

Show to us behind the veil

The dark, the light, the thin, the pale.

Reveal the sights that we do seek

And allow us to protect the weak.

Goddess we come before thee

And as I spake it, SO MOTE IT BE!”

Thunder rumbled, another crack hitting close by and making all three women jump, but they didn’t break the circle.

They stood there for a long moment. Elain felt hints of the wasabi-in-her-veins sensation she sometimes got when they started working magick, but no answers were forthcoming.

They also couldn’t drop into the vision, either.

“Well, shit.” Lina had worn her red hair down today, and she shoved the wet mess off her face. “Now what?”

“I don’t know,” Elain said.

“Fuck!” Mai screamed, throwing her hands in the air.

A blue bolt of lightning shot out from her hands and hit a cabbage palm about thirty feet from them. It exploded into flame, making the three women grab onto each other and scream in fright.

“Holy fuck!” Lina said. “What the hell’d you do that for?”

“I…I don’t know!” Mai burst into tears. “I was just frustrated!”

“Well, stop crying, and try to remember how you did that. That was great! I mean, a little overkill to get swamp cabbage, but that was awesome!”

Elain started laughing. It first bubbled out of her in little snorts and gasps until she was finally forced to collapse to the ground in laughter, feeling damned good to have something to laugh about, finally.

The tree steamed in the rain, the deluge putting the flames out, leaving a charbroiled and smoking husk behind.

Lina started laughing, too, as did Mai.

And as the sky poured, they sat there, leaning on each other and laughing their asses off as the rain put the fire out.

Elain was still in that blissful not-puking-all-the-time-but-smaller-than-a-house phase of her pregnancy. That night, as they all snuggled in bed together, Elain knew she needed to try again for a vision. Something to maybe clarify why she’d had the sudden insight she had about Lina and Edgar and Rodolfo.

Not that it was any hardship trying. Three hunky Alpha wolves who loved pleasing her in bed?

Uh, duh.

She rolled over onto Ain, who’d been on her left side. Without a word she kissed him, hard, grinding against him.

That was another nice thing about this part of her pregnancy. If she wasn’t puking, she was horny as hell.

Ain’s hands glided down her back and settled on her ass, his cock hardening between them as she kissed him. He arched his back and sank his cock home inside her pussy, easily sliding his entire length into her.

“Oooh,” Brodey said, sitting up to nibble on her neck. “Someone’s horny.”

“Good,” Cail muttered, changing positions. “Because I’m horny as hell, and I didn’t want to bug her.”

Elain let out a soft moan as she felt Cail drizzle lube down the seam of her ass and start working a finger into her rim. She whined, enjoying the familiar, pinching burn that quickly turned to pleasure while he finger-fucked her ass. He soon added more lube and finger number two, and by this time her clit was throbbing.

Brodey took over kissing her as Ain held her hips still so Cail could do his thing and get her ready.

“Gonna fuck you real good, mate,” Brodey silently told her through their mate-bond. “Gonna make you scream the way you know you love.”

Another moaning whine was swallowed by Brodey as he kissed her. He softly chuckled before changing position so she could reach his cock. He gathered her hair in his hands and she eagerly opened to swallow his hard cock.

“That’s it, baby,” he muttered, his voice low and growly and full of Alpha need. “You swallow every bit of that. That’s all for you.”

She felt Ain’s cock filling her pussy, pressing against her G-spot as Cail’s fingers slowly thrust inside her ass. Cail took his time working up to three fingers, Ain holding her hips still so she couldn’t grind against him and get herself off until they were ready to let her get off.

Even better. The more of a frenzy they worked her up to, hopefully the clearer her vision would be.

If she had one.

Elain tried not to focus on her desire to have a vision and instead tried to focus on the nice, hard cock she was currently sucking. Brodey’s hands gently cupped her head, letting her set the pace as she worked up and down his cock with her lips and her tongue. He was already moaning even before she reached out and cupped his balls with her hand and gently rolled them along her palm.

Now that she wasn’t nursing Ellie any longer, she wasn’t against the men gently playing with her breasts. Gently being the key word there. Ain let go of her hips and his warm, callused palms cupped her breasts. When he brushed the pads of his thumbs over her sensitive nipples, she let out another moan, muffled by Brodey’s cock in her mouth.

“Oh, yeah,” Ain murmured. “We know what our mate loves. Nothing better than hearing you make those noises.”

The feeling was mutual. Maybe it was selfish of her, but she loved that these three hunks loved her, wanted only her, and were more than happy with her.

It was a dream come true in so many ways, a dream she’d never even known she’d wanted before meeting them.

Cail withdrew his fingers from her ass, wiping his hand on a towel before sheathing his cock in a condom and then adding more lube. When he knelt into place, she held still, waiting as the thick head of his cock slowly breached her rim.

More whining from her. She knew exactly what to expect, and as he slowly thrust, back and forth, gaining more ground with each stroke, her body responded.

She wanted a long, hard fuck from them.

All the better to have visions with, my dear…

Okay, interior snarky monologue had to get shut off so she didn’t accidentally crack herself up and start laughing and spoil the mood.

Once she felt Cail’s thighs pressed against her ass, he stroked her back and let out a contented sigh.

“Oh, yeah,” he whispered. “This. This is great.”

She started moving, knowing it wouldn’t take long for her to get over tonight. She likely wouldn’t even need an assist from them with fingers or edicts, as hot and horny as she felt. She slowly rocked on Ain and Cail’s cocks, working them as hard and deep as she could inside her with every thrust, the men letting her set the pace.

Brodey grunted. “God, that’s fucking hot, baby. I can barely hold back.”

But she knew he would try his damnedest, because she loved it when all four of them came together.

It didn’t hurt that she thought it gave her visions an extra oomph, too.

She tried to savor it, but as she felt her orgasm building, growing, with their cocks stretching and filling her, her mind slipped.

In the vision, she saw a guy, middle-aged, but he was talking to an older woman.

The woman from the vision. And the vision bore a blue tinge, meaning it hadn’t happened yet.

Before Elain could explore it, it slipped away and was replaced by Elain seeing herself talking to Ryan and one of his guys, holding Ellie. That was also tinged with blue. She wasn’t sure what they were talking about because that also faded. Then a memory, one she couldn’t forget no matter how hard she tried, of that afternoon on the top of the rock pile, of Brighton laying there dying, bleeding out, and Ryan grabbing Brighton’s amulet and snatching it from around the wolf’s neck.
