4 STARS: "Saying "I love you" is powerful, but if neither partner say it yet they feel it, it can tear a relationship apart. Christine Trent and Ken Coleman had a one-night fling that reshaped their lives. They both knew something had happened between them but Christine ran away. Ken did not know what to do, should he find her maybe call her but did none of those things. So when they meet again at their best friends' wedding, something amazing happened—they got married. Well, I thought it was amazing but Christine did not feel it. She tried so hard to cover up her true feeling but you could just read Ken. It seemed that he was more invested in the relationship in trying to make the marriage work and trying to get Christine to realize that they did belong together. Only Christine chose to keep running out on Ken when a simple argument would start or when she just felt overwhelmed. There were times that it seemed that the only way that they both could be happy were when they were intimate. The answer of staying together is not based on sexual chemistry and that is how Christine felt. Ken believed that they could make the marriage work but he needed to trust Christine and he found that there were times that he could not. All newlyweds have their ups and downs during their marriage but with Christine and Ken, it was different because it happened overnight. They did not know each other's habits, the good and the bad. They had to sort of start dating and get to know each other yet they were beyond that as they were married. Ken seemed taken back by Christine because when he expected her to be angry at something, she made a joke or laughed and vice versa. He did not know what to make of her. Christine seemed like she just wanted to gobble him up and experience new sexual techniques. Even though she had little to no experience sexually, she surely took over a couple of times in the bedroom. I truly enjoyed this book. There were times that I caught myself grinning a lot or even giggling because Christine amazed me with her attitude. Ken, well, what can I say about him? He was a sweet gentleman but he truly needed to learn how to trust Christine. Both of the characters were stubborn in how they dealt with opening up to each other and saying what they truly felt. The two characters were meant to be together but if they don't learn how to say "I love you", then it's meaningless and the marriage would not succeed. This is a sweet romance full of emotions that had me hoping that they could find their way into opening up and not feel uncertain how they felt about each other. I love reading Ms. Payne's books and can truly say that I will continue. Remember to say "I love you" to your significant other no matter what is going on." -- CozyReader, The Romance Reviews

There was one awkward moment after dinner when they were waiting for their coffee to be served.

“Where will you two live once you get back to the city?” Chris tensed, but Ken just took her hand and answered for both of them.

“We’ve decided not to make any decision until we get back. We’ll spend a few weeks between places until we figure out which suits us better. And if it’s neither, then we’ll find something else.” He placed his napkin on the table and took her hand and rose. “Will you excuse us, Marcus? I’d like to dance with my wife.” Before she knew it, they were holding each other tight, swaying to the music.

“That was a quick recovery. Thank you. I was about to panic, but there you were, responding as if we had talked it all out.”

“It just seemed logical.”

“Is that what you would like to do if you decide you want to stay married?”

He pulled back from her, searching her face. “You still don’t get it. I have made my decision. We’re married, unless you run away from me again.” She reached up and lightly kissed him.

“Thank you for that, but let’s see what happens when we get home.”

“Nothing but our location will change when we get home, Chris.”

They finished their dance in silence, and then he returned her to the table for coffee until it was time for the show.

ADULT EXCERPT

For right now, this very moment in time, she just wanted to lock out the world and enjoy him as a man. She sat with her back against his chest, the bubbles obscuring the view of her naked breasts. His hands captured them and began to cup and hold them. With a little time and repositioning, she moved closer to him. His cock was already hard against her back. It gave her a strange thrill to know she could arouse him so easily.

“Pinch my nipples. It will make me hot and you excited.” He did as she asked, using a light pressure to roll her nipples between his fingers. “I can feel your cock stirring behind me. Use more pressure.” Chris lifted her hands over his and pushed down, giving him an idea of how much force to use. “That’s better,” she told him, and wiggled her ass against his body.

“If you keep that up, this will be over before it starts,” he teased, using his hands to turn her upper body to face him. His kiss was filled with heat and intent. She gave back as much as she took. She simply dropped her hand and started to stroke his cock under the water. She pulled back when he surged in her hand.

“You must have liked that,” she said and pulled from his arms. He looked surprised, but relaxed back when he realized she was turning her body to straddle him. Ken grasped her waist and helped steady her as she lowered her pussy onto his erection. She paused and stared at him with his cock just at her entrance. Christine realized she was thinking in terms she never used before. Cock and pussy were words she knew, just never associated with her own use.

She let her weight impale her body onto him, taking him in small increments inside her. He leaned forward and sucked her nipple between his lips.

“You liked that. I could feel your pussy throb around me.”

“Then do it again,” she whispered, wrapping her arms around his neck and holding his head to her. She loved how he nipped at her breast with his teeth and sucked patches of skin with his lips. He used his hands to push both her breasts together and ran his tongue back and forth between them. “That’s amazing,” she said, more to herself than to him.

“You’re amazing,” he told her as he continued to lavish her breasts with his attention.

At the same time, she was lifting her body just a bit and letting it drop back over him. She was excited, wanted more, and began to lift higher, the drop onto him pushing him deeper inside. Chris loved the idea that she was comfortable exploring with him this way. While their experience together a year ago had been interesting, she’d been on edge waiting for him to realize her inexperience. Now she didn’t care. She just wanted to learn what her body liked, what pushed her over the edge into the twinkling lights of orgasm.

“Ken, you keep surging fuller and deeper inside me.” She glanced down at him. “Why are you gritting your teeth?”

“Because I’m trying not to come,” he managed, his lips capturing her nipple and sucking it between his lips.

“What will make you come?”“

“I’m already there, Chris. What will make you come?”

Even with the steam in the room, she knew he could see her face turn red. “I’m not sure,” she said, unable to tell him what she truly wanted.

“Oh, you know. You just don’t want me to know,” he teased. She almost complained when he moved one hand from her breast but held back when he dropped it between them. She leaned forward and felt his fingers brushing against her clit.
